Dear FIWARE team, good morning,

first of all I hope all of you are doing fine despite all the restrictions
we are facing day to day and thank you for your continuous engagement to
bring the FIWARE Foundation forward. Following the previous (informal)
announcement at our headquarters in Berlin, I am beyond proud to officially
announce Red Hat <https://www.redhat.com/en>, the world’s leading provider
of enterprise Open Source solutions, as our newest Platinum Member. Having
Red Hat on board means a great deal to our Community.

>From 11 o'clock onwards, you will see a series of publications and updates
of our Marketing material, our FIWARE website and a ramp-up of social media
posts.

First of all, Red Hat’s long-established commitment to the development of
Open Source technologies is surely outstanding and adds weight to the work
developed by our Community and our strategic partners. For 25 years, Red
Hat has been harnessing the Open Source development model’s ability to
deliver enterprise-ready innovation at faster, more flexible and more
cost-efficient rates and will hence help us to further power the drive to
implement FIWARE standards and accelerate Open Source compliance
activities. The collaboration will also help us establish Open Source as
the default choice for smart solutions in large enterprises, SMEs, the
public sector and the research field. Secondly, the incorporation of Red
Hat in our governance speaks volume about the sort of positive impact that
