[ff-all] Smart cities book - current situation

Hi everyone,

I know that all of you are busy with their projects or Summit.

And this letter should be sent after it. But it‘ll be too late.

As you all know I‘m caring about Smart Cities book.

It‘s a bit challenge, I did first moves to get new cities from back up and
reach people inside and outside FIWARE to get content and ideas.

Maybe because of summer I faced a problem that no one wants to contribute
in the book.

So I need to ask you for help to get new cities and texts about their
solutions in our book, which is important for all company to show success
and progress.

We need *25 cities* to be fully ready with all provided information till 1*5
October* in other case work won‘t be done till November and we won‘t have a
book for *presentation on SCEWC in Barcelona*.

I can share my current status:

*Istanbul, Turkey* - contacted Atos, thx to Ulrich for help; there‘s no
ready to publish solution.

*Ganz, Austria* - I have contact peter.salhofer at fh-joanneum.at from back
up; the person contacted is wrong.

*Alcaldía de Medellín, Colombia* - contacted them several times, thanks
Andrea for help; they got a request for materials, still have nothing from
them. Now with the help of Karen I hope to get something.

*Duitama, Colombia* - Angeles sent a request for info to Juanjo. I have
Karen remarks from back up that it‘s Andicom. Need some contact or help.

*Bamberg, Germany* - we have all content from them for publishing, but
still need concense for using the logo of the city. I sent request for
developer company for help or contacts - no response

*Mainz, Germany* - I have contact, sent a request, waited for confirmation,
sent a reminder again.

*Milan and Naples, Italy *- Tonia promised to bring some info about these
cities.

*Rome, Italy* - we have a new solution, info from Tonia, but this city is
already in book. With 1 month left I consider if it‘s reasonable to take
care of it now, I‘m prioritising to get new cities more.

*? Senegal* - contact from backup, don‘t know the city. Sent request for
info - no answer.

*Gotland, Norrköping and Stockholm, Sweden* - have contact from Andrea,
sent them request, no response.


*For many other cities from backup there‘s no contacts and responsible
people left the team already.*


So I need to ask you all to activate your helping hand and make this book
happen.

One person can‘t do this, at least without any previous experience in this
process.
