Dear colleagues,

it is my great pleasure to welcome Clara Pezuela as a new employee of the FIWARE Foundation from October 6th on. Clara will take over the responsibility as 'Vice President Funded Projects' reporting to our COO Stefano. Please keep this information within the FIWARE Foundation until October 6th.

Clara about herself:

During the last 23 years I have been working for Atos in different research and innovation areas of IT (cloud, edge, services, software, open source, IoT, data), and recently very focused on data ecosystems and digital platforms to support them. I am Computer Science degree and Master in Innovation Management. During the last years, I played the roles of Research Unit Manager, Innovation Officer, Project Director and Business Developer, always linking the technology development with business and impact, and defining the innovation strategy and business development orientation.
In relation to FIWARE, I have been participating from the very beginning in conception and evolution of the technology and ecosystem. By joining projects, proposals, events, publications and meetings, I have been supporting FIWARE on behalf of Atos since the creation. I have worked closely with most of the FIWARE Foundation team and collaborating with other initiatives like BDVA, GAIA-X and IDSA. I know very well the research and innovation programs and institutions in Europe, playing different roles along my career in projects, proposals, experts' groups, think tanks and committees. I have contributed to different publications, events and working groups with technical expertise in data management and ecosystems.
After a long period working for Atos, I feel the need to face new opportunities and challenges and I am very happy FIWARE will be the place for that. I am looking forward to collaborating with all of you.
