[ff-marketing] FIWARE Global Summit - City of Málaga Information and new communication

Dear all,

Let me provide you with the information I have sent to Susana, Francisco
and David from Málaga.

We will define latest by tomorrow all further MarCom and city contacts.
A first check-list will come from my side by tonight.

*!!!IMPORTANT!!!*
In individual talks and wherever you speak to organizing teams (like
Angeles to F4W), you can now use this updated information.
*@Angeles*: if you like inform FYCMA already, please feel free to pick the
right moment from now on.

General MarCom and internal Com (e.g. Newsletters, SoMe, Banners etc) have
to be set up separately and more precise and consistent and will be defined
by tomorrow.

*IN PARALLEL*
*@Quy*: do you see a chance to creat by tomorrow or Wednesday a very basic
GreenCities email banner that just states: See you at GreenCities and the
dates? We won't give any details (yet) of running a booth or anything.

*I hope this email finds you well and you are all doing good being healthy
and safe.*

*With a heavy heart and great sadness, I need to let you know today that we
had to decide to not run our FIWARE Global Summit anymore. *
*With 3 months ahead of the planned event, we had always given ourselves
the final COVID-realted deadline to run the last feasibility check. Our
community, members and partners alike were and are still convinced that it
is unfortunately not possible this year to organize a successful event of
the kind we had in mind and we need to boost business and grow the
ecosystem.*

*Many of our partners have given general event and travel stop for this
year or just allow a very limited number of fairs.*

*We however intend to collaborate with GreenCities and create a programme
for FIWARE around that fair should it not get cancelled.*
*GreenCities does not cover all our target industries but a majority and
looking also at the Startup activities, this could be a very nice option to
run also some smaller activities just around it (FIWARE Welcome Cocktail,
some side presentation may be also streamed and a programme inside the
fair).*

*Our Board of Directors (BoD) has confirmed this proposal from FIWARE
Marketing and we would like to start this week to engage with all parties
around GreenCities and see what further activities we an plan around it.*

*I sincerely hope that you understand our decision for the new way forward
together with our full availability to arrange for an enriched programme
around GreenCities.*

*We will contact you as our key stakeholders, supporters and friends over
the next days and make together sure to find the best way forward in terms
of communication and activities.*
