IoT Week 2022 is only a few days away!

We are looking forward to seeing IoT experts and domain leaders from around
the world next week in Dublin, the capital of IoT this June.

Dear IoT Week 2022 participants, we would like to summarize some important
points to help you get the most out of your trip to Dublin:
Venue

Croke Park Conference Centre is one of the world’s most unique,
sustainable, and flexible meeting and event venues for bringing people
together for live, hybrid and virtual events that inspire and entertain.
Croke Park is one of Ireland’s greatest amphitheaters. Home to the Gaelic
Athletic Association or GAA, it truly is the beating heart of Irish sport
and culture. It is ideally located just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and
5 minutes from the city centre.

Welcoming Reception

We are pleased to announce that the Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland,
will participate in the welcome reception of IoT Week 2022, on Monday, June
20.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland will give a welcome speech, along
with Dr. Sebastien Ziegler, President of the IoT Forum.
IoT Week 2022 & GIoTS 2022 Gala Dinner
Irish Night at Taylor's Three Rock

The conference gala dinner will be held on Wednesday 22nd June in the
Taylors Three Rock, the traditional Irish Pub.

What can be more Irish than an evening spent in a cosy traditional Irish
pub! Nestled at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, Taylors Three Rock is a
fantastic venue for an informal conference party. Delegates will then be
entertained by world champion Irish Dancers and famous Dublin traditional
Irish musicians. This show is full of audience participation, delegates
will be singing along to Irish Ballads like On Raglan Road and Danny Boy
and Irish Classics like Fields of Athenry and Whiskey in the Jar! If you
are looking for an Irish Show which captures the Irish spirit of involving
everyone in the room, fabulous Irish dancing and great Irish traditional
songs, this is the night for you. With its thatched roof and flagstone
floors, Taylors is every visitor’s vision of a quintessentially Irish pub.
Guaranteed to deliver a fun night out, full of craic agus ceol (fun and
music!), Taylors offers an unforgettable Irish experience

Transport will be available from Croke Park Conference Centre going to
Taylors Three Rock from 19:00. Transport will start returning to the
Conference venue and conference hotels from 23:00.

Smart Dockland’s Innovation tour

Smart Dockland’s Innovation tour showcases a range of deployed innovations
within the area from AR/VR experiences, digital infrastructure and
sensor-based technologies. The tour highlights our engagement to date with
a variety of local authority units, citizens, academia and industry.

  Smart DCU tour

Smart DCU leverages the DCU campus as a Smart City testbed where third
parties fast-track their smart city innovations in a safe controlled
environment. This is because it is a microcosm of a city with all the
features of the city except in miniature. A place where the campus is the
city and the staff and students are the citizens.

  Academy of the Near Future workshop


A smart cities education program developed by Smart Docklands, Dublin City
Council (DCC) and CONNECT. The program aims to bring citizens into the
conversation about how technology shapes the places we live through
interactive workshops and hands-on activities. The workshop will include an
overview of the development of the initiative and a tailored version of the
current ‘Visioneers’ engagement stream (aimed at Transition year secondary
school students).
