Dear FI-Ware Acceleration Program Organisation Members,

My name is Marcos Marconi, project manager of FI-Guardian project from
Brazil.

During this year FI-Guardian won the first prize of FI-WARE Smart
Cities Challenge at Campus Party Brazil and it was also one of the winners
of FI-WARE Excellence Challenge at FIWARE Multi-Site Event in Canarias last
week. ( http://www.canarias7.es/articulo.cfm?id=352430 )

FI-Guardian project was mentioned by Mrs. Neelie Kroes, vice president
of the European Commission, in her opening speech at the 2014 Future
Internet Assembly, in Athens on March, 2014. (
http://www.fi-ware.org/tag/fi-guardian/ ) It was also presented at
Committee of the Regions, in Brussels on June 17th, during the Conference
on “Future Internet: Smart Products for a Smart Digital Europe”. (

We are really motivated in using FI-WARE Technologies and we are very
interested to join the FI-WARE Acceleration Program. However, we know that
only European based StartUps and SMEs can apply for these open calls.

Therefore, we would like to know if we open an European-based "spin
off" of our startup company, like a branch office, we would be able to
apply for the open calls from this branch office. Certainly, the financial
resources we would get from the European Commission would be used to employ
European professionals to work in Europe, helping us to improve and
continue developing FI-Guardian project in Europe.

It is an important opportunity for our company becomes a FI-WARE
international startup.

We are looking forward for the response.

Best regards,

Marcos Marconi
FI-Guardian Project Manager
