Dear Tom,

our calls in the FInish accelerator (one out of 16 FIWARE accelerators) are unfortunately closed. However, there might be collaboration potentials with one of our teams that is also working on aquaponics. I am putting the contact person in CC and you can have a look at our website for some additional information:

hi,
my name is tom groenveld and i am researching aquaponics at the Arava R&D center in the southern desert of Israel. the system i am working on must be extremely automated, and data from several parts of the system must be available at all times so that appropriate decisions can be made. our research station is publicly funded and the goal is to support farmers in the desert region where we are located. besides the nutrient and water use optimization research that i am personally doing, i want the tools that i am developing in terms of sensors and data streaming through the cloud to a range of appliances to be something that will be available to be used world-wide, one step on the way of producing more for with less.
i see that your first call for proposals was in 2014, and don't know if you are still accepting proposals for funding and if i fit your criterion, please let me know so i can handle appropriately.
thanks,
tom.
