I have been one of the key contributor to the original NGSI specifications as well as the FIWARE NGSI extensions and adaptations. I am contributing to the ongoing discussions towards standardization as part of a new ETSI ISG. The NGSI interface is highly relevant for FIWARE as it is used by multiple GEs across different chapters and thus its further development is closely linked to the future development of FIWARE. Therefore, it is important to have a close link between the standardization activities and the FIWARE Community in general and the FIWARE Technical Committee in particular.
