[image: image] Dear FIWARE Community, The FIWARE Board of Directors is sharing some essential updates regarding the latest changes in FIWARE Foundation. After careful consideration, we have decided to change FIWARE Foundation leadership, including the dismissal of the current Board of Officers. Although we considered various options, our final decision to dismiss the Board of Officers was necessary to help FIWARE achieve great goals and move forward with the transparency, integrity, and communication our community expects and deserves. We want to reassure you that our commitment to transparency and communication remains unwavering, and we are dedicated to upholding these values as we move forward. During the past ten months, we have encountered significant changes and challenges, particularly following the departures of the former CEO, CTO, and the previous Chairman of the Board of Directors. These transitions have placed us at a crucial point in our journey, calling for thoughtful reflection and action. Over the past few months, the Board of Directors, FIWARE Foundation employees, and most importantly, the FIWARE Community have worked incredibly hard to address the issues and guide FIWARE through the complex period. Your role in this process has been invaluable. While the Board of Directors has worked hard to foster these positive changes, it is clear that we have yet to fully achieve the progress we envisioned. It became evident that FIWARE needed to re-embrace a stronger commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved communication with our community, a commitment we are dedicated to upholding. Enhancing communication remains one of our top priorities. Transparency, a fundamental value for us, has taken longer to implement than anticipated. Nevertheless, we do our best to achieve it. The Board of Directors works closely with the FIWARE team to support the internal and external processes, including announcing the new FIWARE Board of Officers of FIWARE Foundation as soon as possible. Meanwhile, FIWARE Foundation operates daily with the team's full support, continuing to run projects and fulfilling duties and responsibilities. We sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support during this time. Your understanding and involvement are crucial as we remain dedicated to rebuilding trust, enhancing communication, and guiding FIWARE Foundation towards a brighter, more prosperous future.
