I?ve just created an instance and associated successfully a floating IP to it. Probably you may need to follow this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27543127/deploy-vm-in-fiware-lab-nodes-with-neutron to setup you network About the second e-mail: Unfortunately there is no way to have direct support as you request since as you may know FIWARE Lab is not a commercial product and in addition it is just free of charge. There are many tutorial from different channels online, here are few pointer: - The FIWARE Academy e-learning portal: http://edu.fiware.org - Video tutorials: http://help.lab.fi-ware.org - Questions/Answers http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/fiware My reply to your first question will probably solve the problem of the second one, in any case you can contact us by sending an e-mail to fiware-lab-help at lists.fi-ware.org for any problem you may have with the portal. For specific issues/requests you may have, I suggest you to contact directly your specific coaching ML as you did before. In addition, current implementation is going to be deprecated in favor of Openstack?s Sahara and no support is being given to new deployments. Being said that, users can use the Big Data enabler through the already deployed global instance at FIWARE LAB. Simply go to http://cosmos.lab.fi-ware.org/cosmos-gui/ and create a Cosmos account in the global instance by using your FIWARE LAB credentials. Thanks. Dear all, In order to speed up the communication to members of our growing community of FIWARE entrepreneurs, we are going to setup a mailing list through which they will get notified about fresh and important news related to FIWARE. Messages regarding plans for the FIWARE Lab, opportunities for entrepreneurs to get engaged in projects/initiatives, developers weeks, events, new contents on the FIWARE website, the FIWARE catalogue or the FIWARE Academy, etc. are the kind of messages to be disseminated through that mailing list. The list created for this purpose is: fiware-entrepreneurs at lists.fiware.org People can send their registration request by filling the form at the bottom of the following page (section "Subscribing to Fiware-entrepreneurs") https://lists.fiware.org/listinfo/fiware-entrepreneurs A given user has to specify its name, the name of the organization, and the name of the "mentor organization/project" who is endorsing the user request. Organizations supported by a given FIWARE Accelerator Project should provide the name of the FIWARE Accelerator project as "mentor organization/project". As an example: John Smith, AcmeCompany, CEEDTECH Of course, members of FIWARE, FIWARE Accelerator projects, Use Cases or the EC are welcome to join. Please specify "FIWARE", the name of your FIWARE Accelerator Project, the name of your Use Case project or "EC" as "mentor organization/project", respectively. Email addresses of coaches assigned to the different FIWARE Accelerator projects have been already added to this list. Thank you all for your attention. Dear FIWARE Lab users, As part of our ongoing effort to improve our service, we have implemented a tool that continuously check the functionality of the different FIWARE Lab regions in order to have an accurate picture of their status. This tool will be used by the FIWARE Lab infrastructure owners in order to have a quick snapshot about the problems that the FIWARE Lab users can experience when they try to use their regions. Based on the developed tool, we have also developed a dashboard that users can check every day to find out what nodes are stable and therefore safe to use without experiencing problems. You can find it at: http://fi-health.lab.fi-ware.org The dashboard displays in green those nodes who have actually passed all the tests. You can click on the name of a given node to find out the detailed results of the executed tests. If you arrive to the page showing results of the test performed in a given node and leave the mouse cursor in a given test, a tip will be shown describing the meaning of the test. This may provide too much technical detail, but we intend to provide as much info as possible so that experienced users can get an accurate picture. Please, keep in mind that this tool is still under evolution. New functions will be soon implemented in order to include more automatic tests and allow the possibility to add subscription to specific regions in order to know when they pass all their tests. In the same way, an authentication and authorization process will be developed, integrated with the FIWARE Identity Manager, in order to give the ability to launch tests by FIWARE Lab region administrators. You can have an overview of this tool in https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-health and if you want to propose more features, feel free to include in the list of open issues in github. We hope your experience with FIWARE Lab is improving but, no matter whether your opinion is positive or negative, we would like to hear from you. Your opinion is extremely important to us. Therefore, please report any incidence to the fiware-lab-help at lists.fi-ware.org. We keep working on improving the performance of the FIWARE Lab environment. The FIWARE Lab team. I can ask them to see if they have a specific problem with Object Storage GE or maybe just a time estimation. Regarding SoftLayer: I have no knowledge about its Object Storage service; despite this, I just checked on the website and, since it?s based on Swift (OpenStack Object Storage API), it should be compatible. BTW as you can see the status of all Labs, most of them is down (see the screenshot attached). [Inline image 2] Our teams have found out SoftLayer provides Object Storage too (http://www.softlayer.com/object-storage) - does it comply with FIWARE requirements to migrate to SoftLayer? As I reported to you month ago the attempt to create a container in FiLab Object Storage was returning error. Later, Daniele Santoro was solving it with GE second level support and on May 26th responded it should be fixed. I tried again and got another (different) error. I wrote back to Daniele but got no response yet. I tried primarily on "Prague" region (as it's the nearest node to us) but tested also in half dozen of other nodes/regions. If not all, which regions do support and have working instance of Object Storage? Regarding to SoftLayer's storage, yes, it is based on OpenStack Swift (aka Object Storage). So if I understand your answer correctly, by using it we comply with FiWare requirements on using FiWare enablers. Please let me know if I'm wrong on it. Regarding SoftLayer please, do not misinterpret my words: I said that SoftLayer?s Object Storage service is compatible in terms of API, I didn?t say that SoftLayer?s Object Storage service complies with FIWARE. Is Object Storage the only enabler you are using in your project?
