Ladies and gentlemen,

I am interested in taking part in the FI-WARE Smart Society Challenge as
representative member of a team that consist of at least of one programmer,
one business analyst (myself) and one user-experience expert / interaction
designer. One or more members of the team may be based outside Europe. Could
you please confirm that members of a participating team may reside outside
Europe (i.e. not just outside the EU).

Also, the detailed terms & conditions state:

"Transference of the amount of the prize (once applicable taxes deduction
are discounted) will be done to an account domiciled in the country of the
winner's residence".

However, as I understand that teams and not individuals are selected in the
competition, I imagine that you do not mean "the country of the winner's
residence", but the country of the winning team's representative's
residence; or is payment made to teams and not individuals? If the latter is
the case, I imagine the winning team would need to form a legal entity and
open a bank account in the name of that entity. Could you please clarify?

Finally, a suggestion for an improvement of the detailed terms and
conditions: One of the sections has the title "Image Rights Cesion". You
probably meant "cession", as "cesion" is not an English word. However, as
"cession" implies that rights are given up by the IPR holder, which I
understand is not what you intend, a more appropriate title for that section
would be "Granting of Image Rights".

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Sincerely

Carl Lauer
