Hi,
I change the list to the ones used at present in FIWARE (WPA and WPL lists are deprecated)
My understanding (that I gather exclusively from reading this thread) is that it is not the name of any company. It is the name of a disucssion goup.

As I am also in the list I was processing that e-mail too. Regarding documentation maybe we may send the links to the slides of the bootcamps training sessions plus say that there is an on-going action to improve the overall platform documentation as suggested by the EC but this will take some time for sure.
For the licenses policy after FIWARE as a project ends I would like to ask directly to those guys which are the issues they claim they found.
BTW, can an SME call themselves "FIWARE Belgium" ? I was not aware so far.

Asunto: [Fiware-wpl] Iot and FIWARE alignment_New Meetup Group: FIWARE BELGIUM
Hi all,
Since I had so far several discussions with the IoT people in DG CONNECT, they included me in the IERC mailing list.
That group is a very active but today an e-mail got my attention, since they talk about FIWARE.
People from FIWARE involved in such discussions are Carlos Ralli and Thierry Nagellen (please, as already mentioned in previous e-mails, keep me fully updated on this).
So far, the IoT/IERC guys complained about our lack of proactivity. Today I discovered that a new group called FIWARE Belgium has been created. See below.
Some criticisms are pointed out, such as bad documentation and issues about licences (?). I have highlighted these comments in yellow.
I think that better reaction from FIWARE is needed NOW if we want such alignment between IoT people and us...

As our IoT IERC projects are getting closer aligned with FIWARE:
Interesting development! FIWARE Belgium is not started by any of the EU partners but by an SME in Belgium.
Note the fact that the documentation is not good and we also have to get more clear as to the licenses of Orange and Telefonica after the project ends.
I also urged all of you months ago to start IoT Meetups in your cities. I don't think anyone has done it but the partners in Sociotal.eu<http://Sociotal.eu>.
This is the new middle that is being build where new formats of quality will be coming from. No one has the time to read academic papers. That output is rapidly becoming totally self-serving , a universe on its own, but not relevant for what is happening on the ground. But of course there are great insights there! If you want to keep pushing them, the Meetups are the place,
