Dear all, The link to the wiki with the summary of R4 on the wiki has been sent to avoid the impression that we do not have anything (read on). The ongoing review will be based on evidences and I cannot think of anything better than this to prove that R4 exists and is complete. Please treat this page very respectfully until the review finishes. Best regards, Miguel -------- Mensaje reenviado -------- Asunto: Status of FIWARE Release 4 Fecha: Wed, 23 Dec 2015 17:54:03 +0100 De: MIGUEL CARRILLO PACHECO <miguel.carrillopacheco at telefonica.com><mailto:miguel.carrillopacheco at telefonica.com> Para: Ragnar.Bergstrom at ec.europa.eu<mailto:Ragnar.Bergstrom at ec.europa.eu>, puja at giantswarm.io<mailto:puja at giantswarm.io>, Pieter.Ballon at vub.ac.be<mailto:Pieter.Ballon at vub.ac.be> CC: juanjose.hierro at telefonica.com<mailto:juanjose.hierro at telefonica.com>, Maria.MOTA-VIEGAS at ec.europa.eu<mailto:Maria.MOTA-VIEGAS at ec.europa.eu>, CNECT-ICT-632893 at ec.europa.eu<mailto:CNECT-ICT-632893 at ec.europa.eu>, MANUEL ESCRICHE VICENTE <manuel.escrichevicente at telefonica.com><mailto:manuel.escrichevicente at telefonica.com>, JOSE MANUEL CANTERA FONSECA <josemanuel.canterafonseca at telefonica.com><mailto:josemanuel.canterafonseca at telefonica.com> Dear Ragnar, dear reviewers, As the nature of the evaluation is remote and we will not have the usual presentations we understand that, more than anything, you need evidences of tangible work done. One of the most important pieces of work is Release 4 plus accompanying manuals and this is not delivered yet. We are considering further series of testing stages and while this gets finished the software may not be formally released. But there is software (and manuals) and we actually have them there. We believe that more than lengthy presentations and documents, you need to see convincing evidences that Release 4 itself exists and that it is not only "formal" statements from the consortium. This is why we have put together a table of links to all the GEris of R4 for you. This is the one: * http://wiki.fiware.org/Release_Summary_R4 Note that this summary table has pointers to the code (github), the open specs definitions (wiki, apib files under github and, most of the times, an apiary project) and the installation and user manuals under readthedocs. Although not announced yet (and not yet offered via the catalogue), this is complete and publicly available, and you can inspect whatever may need to see to assess R4. WebUI have not provided their info basically because both the leader and the architect are on holidays but they will put the info online as soon as they are back. I have some internal evidences of software releasing in this WP as well if you really need them but I prefer to wait for their return to have it orderly reported in this format if you do not mind. We would be pretty happy to provide all the extra information or clarifications you may need. As agreed with you, the Commission will be assisted by the following independent experts: - Mr Puja Abbassi - Mr Pieter Ballon The objectives of the review are, in particular, to establish: • the degree of fulfilment of the project work plan for the relevant period and of the related deliverables; • the continued relevance of the objectives and breakthrough potential with respect to the scientific and industrial state of the art; • the resources planned and utilized in relation to the achieved progress, in a manner consistent with the principles of economy, efficiency and effectiveness; • the management procedures and methods of the project; • the beneficiaries' contributions and integration within the project; • the expected potential impact in scientific, technologic, economic, competitive and social terms (where relevant), and the plans for the use and dissemination of results. In accordance with your contractual obligations, we kindly request that you submit to the experts the Deliverables of this reporting period. Please make them available via your website or a link from where they can be downloaded. Since all Deliverables for the 1st reporting period have not yet been submitted could you group the already available Deliverables in a 1st batch/folder and then group the remaining ones in 1 or 2 separate batches/folders? When it comes to the Periodic Report I expect the draft version you are currently preparing to be urgently finalised and provided to the experts. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
