Hi all, We have received this invitation to participate in an event called "Startup and SMEs in energy efficiency, ICT and smart grids" organized by the Sofia Tech Park JSC on, Tuesday 29th September, Sofia, Bulgaria They are looking for someone who can represent FIWARE and give a short speech + Q&A. Find attached a draft program. Key facts are: The organizer covers the cost for the travel (plane tickets) and the hotel - your representative is advised to stay at the Hilton hotel, where the event will take place. In our experience these costs should not exceed 800 euro which is within our budget. The targeted audience: startups and SMEs, the Bulgarian SME agency (the 1st panel will be moderated by their representative), relevant institutional representation (special guests from the Ministry of economy and Ministry of energy), branch associations representatives, representatives from thematic clusters (ICT cluster, for example), NGOs, engineers and architects, university management representatives and representatives from the Bulgarian Academy of science. What they envisage as FIWARE participation is a speaker who will introduce the initiative, plus information about the profile of the companies (startups) FIWARE targets and the benefits for such companies, described shortly. Please refer to the attached draft program to see when the planned slot for the presentation is. The FIWARE representative will have the opportunity to meet with business, academia, NGO and institutions representatives formally and possibly in an informal manner should they decide to schedule meetings outside the program/event. There is a Q&A session following the last presentation of the panel. Please, let me know if you are willing to go.
