[Fiware-chapter-leaders] Reminder: Deadline for WorkItem for OpenSpecs is TODAY

Dear all,

It is indeed time to deal with the Open Specs. Theoretically you have prepared all that was in your hands (the deadline was today) but you needed the FABRE tool to finish the work.  Let us conclude the process for the open specs. We expect this before the end of Monday:

  *   1) Info linked from here: http://wiki.fiware.org/Summary_of_FIWARE_Open_Specifications_R4
  *   2) Info for the API spec
     *   2a) for those using Apiary: APIB files + Additional metadata template
     *   2b) for those not using Apiary: send us the API Spec Template I enclose

We have a first version of the FABRE tool that converts the API Blueprint format from Apiary to the format that we will eventually upload to github. We have tested it internally but we want to ensure that it fully works in all cases of real-life files. This is why we will generate the first ones in the FABRE team.

So those who have it already can send me the APIB files in private together with the attached "additional metadata" template and we will do the work for them. At some point we will stop doing it and the pending ones will have to do it by themselves. The early bird catches the worm ...

Those who refuse to use Apiary will have to send it in the same format generated by FABRE and comply with it strictly. This means also adapting to any future changes and complying with any tiny detail of the format. As warned in the guidelines, this is a lot of extra and not particularly productive work but it is your choice. I attach a template we have produced but you will have to go to concrete examples generated by FABRE to synch the fine grain details.
