[Fiware-coaches] VERY IMPORTANT: Dedicated mailing lists for exchanges on coaching activities with FIWARE accelerator projects

Dear all,

These mailing lists are good for overall discussion with the accelerator but will not allow to follow/monitor coaching activities and cannot be the entry point for the SMEs (I understand coaches will have to interact directly with the SMEs)

Are there any plan to make use of a ticketing system ?
Basic systems do the following
- Request from an accelerator or a SME belonging to that accelerator are sent to the corresponding coach
- the coach can follow its list of open requests within the ticketing system
- The tickets can be transferred to other FIWARE teams when required. The coach would still be able to follow the ticket status
- It would allow overall monitoring
- It would not prevent phone call

Hi all,

  Complementing the creation of the fiware-coaches mailing list, I have just created a number of mailing lists devoted to exchanges about coaching activities with FIWARE Accelerator projects.

  For a given FIWARE Accelerator project whose name is <accelerator-project-name>, the following mailing list has been created:
fiware-<accelerator-project-name>-coaching at lists.fi-ware.org<mailto:-coaching at lists.fi-ware.org>
  Thus, for example, the following list has been created (note that we have supressed the '-' or blank space in some project names):

  For each of these lists:

  *   the designated coach/contact, Stefano, Nuria and myself have been registered as administrators
  *   the designated coach/contact, Stefano, Nuria and myself have been registered as members
  *   the designated coach/contact and Stefano have been registered as moderators

  Each of these mailing lists is intended to provide a mean for exchanges of emails with the corresponding FIWARE Accelerator project.   Administrators of the fiware-<accelerator-project-name>-coaching mailing list will have to subscribe in that mailing list those people from the <accelerator-project-name> project who wish to be part of the mailing list and exchange emails on activities linked to coaching activities related to their project.   Thus, if you are the designated coach of the SOUL-FI project, you have to subscribe in the fiware-soulfi-coaching at lists.fi-ware.org<mailto:fiware-soulfi-coaching at lists.fi-ware.org> those members of the SOUL-FI project that require to do so.   They should formulate this request by sending a message directly to you.
  VERY IMPORTANT: representatives of the FIWARE Accelerator projects won't be members of the fiware-coaches mailing list.  This way, the list can also be used for exchanges ONLY among FIWARE Coaches.   However, FIWARE Accelerator projects will be able to send emails to the fiware-coaches mailing list either to provide general feedback or issue requests/info they believe may be attended by other coaches.  Most likely, a FIWARE Accelerator project will send emails to its fiware-<accelerator-project-name>-coaching mailling list but it may put the general fiware-coaches mailing list in cc.   This won't lead to duplication of emails in your inbox, don't worry, because mailman takes care of duplicating emails when you are member of two mailing lists used as destinee of a message.

  Both the creation of the fiware-coaches mailing list as well as the dedicated mailing lists for exchanges about coaching with FIWARE accelerator projects have been announced to the FIWARE Accelerator Projects.   We have received the first enthusiastic responses.   As mentioned to you, FIWARE Accelerator projects are eager to work with you.   Please stay tuned and respond in a positive mood so that we keep the momentum !!

  Last but not least, this is what I have done to make a first push of the activities.   From now on, Stefano will be the main overall coordinator of this activity.  Both Nuria and me will also try to help and contribute to the discussions, etc.
