dear franck and all,

telefonica, orange, engineering and atos are ready to make an official announcement about the fiware foundation and fiware open source community.
the announcement would be made at the mwc next 2-5 march in barcelona.

it is expected the fiware oss community to be operational on beginning 3q2015 while commercial offering from the above companies are approaching the next weeks or so.

i hope this clarifies.

Many questions from the participants that day (and the next when we continued the boot camp in Amsterdam) concerned sustainability of the FI-ware. If using a FI-ware enabler in your product how can continuity be guaranteed. This may concern financial matters (licensing), but more important it concerns stability and security, maintenance and support, maybe flexibility, etc.

Do we have an official position on this ?

Dear Franck,

We only met briefly in Amsterdam, but I think you spoke about some FI-ware challenges with my TNO colleagues Bas Kotterink and Tom Bakker.
Thank you for your active involvement with the FICHe project and for helping us to solve some of these issues.

For the support of the FICHe participants we organize three webinars. One of which is on FI-ware.
We offer this within the time frame of Phase 1 of FICHe. This phase ends March 1st.
The TNO FI-ware experts set the date and time for the FI-ware webinar on Monday, February 23rd  , between 16:00-18:00 hours (CET), and we hope you are able to join to answer some of the questions also.
