Hola,

  Saludos,

=== Description of Needs for FI-WARE at the Campus Party event:

  * 1 plenary session on the main stage focused on announcement of the launch of the FI-WARE Open Innovation Lab. We have suggested this can take the structure of:
     * a speech by Neelie Kroes, who certainly will feel very excited to make the announcement
     * 1-2 keynote speech by someone with credentials among the community of developers/entrepreneurs who may help to attract audience
     * a keynote speech by someone like Carlos Domingo
  * 9 technical workshops, duration 3 hours at least each
     * they would be carried out by members of the FI-WARE teams
     * they will be rather technical in major and would be related to main technical chapters of FI-WARE + middleware:
        *   Cloud
        *   Internet of Things
        * Higly scalable Data Platforms: BigData, Complex Event Processing (CEP), Context Broker
        * Advanced Web-based User Interfaces: 3D Web, Augmented Reality
        *   Interface to Networks: OpenFlow
        *   Services Integration and Mashup
        *   Security
        *   Middleware

     * targeted to: software architects, software developers, geeks. focused would be in actually making "hands on" the technology and answer tecnical questions, and prepare/organize hackatons
     * we were assuming we could use the "innovation stages" for this purpose.
  * 2 sessions, duration 1-1,5 hour each, to bring details about how to connect to the FI-WARE Open Innovation Lab and also announce both developers contests (500-700 K€) and FI-PPP calls (100 M€ for entrepreneurs in phase 3 of the FI-PPP program as well as aprox 10 M€ linked to Open Calls to be issued by Use Case projects of the FI-PPP in September):
     * one at the beginning of the Campus, after the announcement of the FI-WARE Open Innovation Lab in the main stage
     *   another maybe in Saturday
     * we will announce the different awards linked to challenges during this session. They will be launched at the Campus Party but a period will be given and there will be an event months later where we will invite finalists, and run the final
        * aprox. 3 challenges with 70K-80K prizes for winner, 30 K€ for second, on specific areas (one for sure on Smart Cities)
        * one big challenge with aprox. 150K, 70K, 30K for winner, second and third positions
     * we assume this may take place also at one of the "innovation stages"
  * Call for ideas (also with some small prize) ... where do you suggest to place this ?
  *   Hackatons
  * Dedicated booth, to provide assistance, answer questions, distribute promo material, etc.

  * Another important point is that we asked Futura Networks about the possibility to co-locate a plenary meeting of the FI-WARE project the same days at the campus party. That would help to secure presence of the experts of each of the teams from FI-WARE, therefore the support to developers, etc. However, for this it would be nice to find out some rooms where the teams can privately meet, one half day each. As I said, there 8 main technical chapters, i.e., 8 teams and you may think about 6-10 people each. Ideally, this should go from tuesday to friday. Organizing this to be a permanent room, so that the teams use it alternatively, would be enough IMHO.

  * There is also the possibility to extend this to invite all other projects within the program. I believe that would only require to add one additional session at the innovation stage, where Use Case projects defined in the FI-PPP program can elaborate on how they are developing solutions in different economic sectors based on FI-WARE. They would be able to announce the Open Calls they plan to launch around September, which would aprox. mean providing about 10 M€ of funding for SMEs/entrepreneurs. NOTE: we may drop this additional session and maybe with the two sessions in the innovation stage described above, it would be enough.
