In this respect, the European Commission will publish a new edition of the brochure "The Secret of Success", which will feature portraits of inspiring entrepreneurs from the 37 countries participating in the pan-European campaign (i.e. the 28 EU Member States plus Albania, FYROM, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia and Turkey). The brochure will be very widely disseminated, with the aim of raising the profile of entrepreneurs and of entrepreneurship as an attractive career choice, and to promote entrepreneurship education. As such, the format of the brochure will be adapted in order to use it an educational aid by schools and universities in the EU. As in previous years, EUROCHAMBRES has been invited to propose 1 entrepreneur per country as a candidate to appear in the European SME Week brochure. This time, the theme of the brochure is “Web Entrepreneurs: Europe’s Digital Champions”. The Commission is interested in successful digital entrepreneurs with an unusual or inspiring story to tell in terms of rate of growth, achievements, technological breakthrough, etc... They are also looking for a range of different profiles (age, ethnic background, gender, age, nature of products/services and length of entrepreneurial experience). The proposed entrepreneurs should not employ more than 250 employees “ideally”. Please find attached the Commission’s letter and application form. We invite you to nominate your one candidate by 2 April by sending back the application form duly completed to Liina Luga (intern.EA at eurochambres.eu<mailto:intern.EA at eurochambres.eu>) to allow us time to meet the Commission deadline of 4 April. The entrepreneurs who will be selected by the Commission will be contacted directly by DG Enterprise to provide more detailed information and will also be invited to take part in events and public relations activities during European SME Week.
