Look for example in "instances": ..."You may create your own dedicated instances following the instructions provided in the tab "Creating Instances"... So you go in "creating instances" and you can read: "This GE does not support creation of dedicated instances" And this documentation is the same of month ago so it is not updated. Regarding point three we finally found rest api documentation at: https://github.com/ging/fi-ware-idm/wiki/REST-API This is updated but it does not show how to use "application" extensions. I sincerely hope that they exists because deadline is near and we need to start again reimplementing the project. *********************************** On Tue, Jun 16, 2015 at 8:33 AM, Andrea Maestrini wrote: > Dear FIWARE coach, > we forward you a support request received from a CreatiFI applicant we are > not able to solve. > Please let us know if you need direct contact with the submitter. > Thanks. > > ****************************** > > We are using KeyRock GE for our developments and we have seen that it will > be migrated to Keystone. > Because deadlines of CreatiFI OC1 are approaching we need to ask several > questions: > > 1) Is account.lab.fiware.org using keystone engine? > 2) How can I create an instance of keystone with keyrock extensions and > keyrock gui? > 3) Keyrock has a concept of application. Hopefully this is useful. For the FIWARE evaluation they ask the following (all are mandatory): - Explain the usage of your technology and how FIWARE is used within it. - Max 2000 characters - Provide an architecture graph. It must show clearly how FIWARE enablers are used in conjunction with other technology assets. - Which of the IMPACT favored GEs are you planning to use? - A list is presented with GEs that are considered more core to the FIWARE experience. Here the FIWARE expert does the valuation of the GEs selected. Then, depending on the answers, the points are awarded like so: - 0 points - No FIWARE commitment or applicability shown. - Maybe there is no architecture graph or no selection of GEs. - This is given to projects that only want the cloud to run their apps, or they don't state that plan to use FIWARE. - 3 points - FIWARE usage is poorly explained. - Architecture does not show their _written_ plan to use FIWARE. - Only plan to use identity management or storage of FIWARE. - 4 points - FIWARE usage is fair, although there could be some improvement. - Solid selection of FIWARE GEs, there may be others to consider. - Obvious misconception of a FIWARE technology that can be easily fixed (e.g. using CEP where Orion makes more sense). - 5 points - FIWARE usage addresses all relevant aspects. - Architecture makes sense. - Good selection of GEs for a given problem. In the case of IMPACT, since they have around 20 projects to evaluate so we are able to do one on one interviews (skype) with them where they present what they've been doing and how the implementation is going. We assess this by (in max 15 minutes for everything): - Have them do a presentation on the results. - Show a demo of the project and maybe some code as well. - Short Q&A. This helps to have a great vision on how they are doing first-hand. This took a couple of days. So as a result of all this there is a spreadsheet where each startup states what GEs they will use (strong commitment, unless all hell breaks lose). I must say that IMPACT has come a long way in how the evaluate FIWARE, and it feels that it is working really good now. Moreover an architectural document, explaining how and which GEs are used and the usage of FIWARE Lab, is requested. Also a questionnaire on FIWARE GE stability and maturity has been submitted. Last but not least a live presentation of each SME/project is requested where FIWARE experts will be present as evaluators. For all these reasons (I guess each accelerator already did an assessment on the usage of FIWARE) we should be very careful to submit yet another questionnaire without a clear explanation to the SMEs of the motivation of this. If we were at the beginning of the program, it would be different (having uniform evaluation criteria from teh beginning would be of course very important) but being now in an advanced state, we should, in my opinion, justify this initiative. It has to do with virtual networking devices removing DHCP leases from other unrelated machines. The problem has been addressed in OpenStack's next version, but Spain2 team is working for a solution while there is no update. Even with current examples supplied with the Enabler we can not implement correctlly the movement. The right mouse button drag movement makes our characters disapear. See this misbehaviour at: http://annacarreras.com/toonaville/vc/Guia.html We would like to minimum obtain a movement like in: http://threejs.org/examples/#misc_controls_orbit We could not use this example code with the libraries supplied with the Enabler. Something is missing? Is there a huge different between the .js libraries and the min.js ones? We would like to customize the controls to let users only rotate the characters and zoom them but don't let them move. How can we achieve this? Any help will be apreciated." Thanks in advance. The URL-syntax requires a 'region' to be defined ( swiftks://[:]/:) but I have no clue how this maps to the fiware-stack. When trying the following command, s3ql seems to succeed in connecting and authenticating with Keystone but cannot find the region. mkfs.s3ql swiftks://cloud.lab.fiware.org:4730/Lannion2:test --backend-options no-ssl Enter backend login: Enter backend passphrase: Results in: No accessible object storage service found in region Lannion2 (available regions: ) Unfortunately no available regions are listed in the response. Is there any documentation about the naming of regions in keystone/fiware cloud? Because time is running out I have chosen to install my copy of Keystone/Keyrock following the link you provided to me. But I then stop at the line: "Keystone comes with a script to initialize the database with some projects and users and the basic openstack services and endpoints. This is enough to start using Keystone in a testing environment (based on Keystone v2.0) but if you intend to use it as the back-end for FIWARE Identity Manager, which uses Keystone v3, take a look at the following project for the automatic installation, configuration and sample utilities at https://github.com/ging/idm_deployment Therefore, since most of the extensions are not compatible with Keystone v2.0, it is not recommended to use this initial data but the repository mentioned" Io do not understand if I have to continue following the manual or I need to search the "automatic config script". Here it is his report: "The error happens when we try to make a second wordcount. The first works fine, but the second occasionally brings us this error. To do the wordcount we connect to the virtual machine via ssh, as shown in the documentation. (hadoop jar /usr/lib/hadoop-0.20/hadoop-examples.jar wordcount /user/'+ ssh.user + inputDir ' /user/' ssh.user + outputDir) we believe that the error is that the ssh connection does not close properly, but we are not sure that we find it hard to reproduce the error: (dropbox capture) https://www.dropbox.com/s/zgn0qgy75iqmzv4/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202015-06-29%2010.21.50.png?dl=0 " Thanks in advance, Xavier Carol. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
