[Fiware-data-uncertainity] FIWARE and Uncertainty and Trust management

Hi Andreas,

As you might know at the last virtual AB meeting (which was the last one from my side as OUTSMART which I represented will complete early next month), it was confirmed that no further FIWARE open call will cover an extension of FIWARE core platform to support Uncertainty management. This means that if this task force persists over FIPPP phase II and the need for uncertainty management is confirmed, it should be handled by the partners of the FIWARE consortium which are already in place.

I'd like to inform you that Orange Labs has proposed to contribute to this uncertainty management support within FIWARE if the AB and the task force conclude that this requirement should be supported by FIWARE. We've discussed internally in Orange Labs about this and got Thierry's approval. Then informed Juanjo about our position a few weeks ago. My colleague Ravi Mondi and myself will be involved in this work.

I don't know if you'll still lead this task force, and I hope you'll do as you've done a great job gathering interested parties, collecting inputs and editing the white paper. I'd like to thank you for all this work and hope we'll be able to continue this collaboration.
Please keep us posted on this matter and let us know how you intend to proceed. At this current time, Ravi is analyzing the White Paper with the intent to extract the requirements and formalize them into Backlog entries (not official ones yet of course). We would appreciate if you could add Ravi (mondi.ravi at orange.com) to the mailing list.
