Dear Mirko, We recently presented to the EC our plan to run the bounty programme and the intention to devote some funding within FI-Core (we'll have to find out how much we will be able to devote and what would be the specific instrument, probably prizes). The EC has agreed and indeed welcome the idea so we will implement it in a amendment under way. You mentioned that it might be a nice idea if some of the A16 projects devote something to it, which I find also a nice idea, but I wanted to be able to run at least something without depending to much on them (I leave to you the task of lobbying the EC to convince them that the A16 projects should bring additional money ;-). In general, I believe it should be feasible that any project/entity that wishes to play the role of godfather offers some bounty to identified tasks. However, we need to make progress on the document defining the bounty programme ... I haven't seen too much progress during August (last edit was on July 24th)! Unfortunately, José Manuel is on holidays returning on September 9th ... and I guess I won't be able to spend too much time on this also these days (I have just returned from holidays and now dealing with several urgent matters). I will try to assign this to someone else in the FIWARE team while José is on holidays but ... wouldn't it be feasible for you guys to make some progress on the document? Promoting it at the ICT event in Lisbon would be a nice idea. We may plan that promotion in parallel to the task force to finish the document. I believe it would be critical to arrive there (ideally even before) with a document that is already closed. This would allow to get questions answered and not announce plans but facts.
