[Fiware-entrepreneurs] FIWARE at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016

Dear all,

We are pleased to announced that FIWARE will be present at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016.The event will take place in Barcelona, November 15-17th.The FIWARE booth will be at Hall P2, Level 0, Street C, Stand 324 (Fira Barcelona).

 We are closing further details about the start-ups that will be collaborating and showcasing their solutions at the FIWARE Booth. We will have various projects' demos there, under the tittle 'Enabling new innovative services for the citizens'. We have already selected several interesting and attracting solutions, powered by FIWARE and focussed on improving the citizens life:

. Adevice and its demos about water quality management.

. Wise Town, with its system to identify and manage the issues that are affecting the city, in different relevant areas, like urban renewal, garbage collection...

. Ever Impact, which will showcase a real-time 3D map of CO2 emissions.

. Outbarriers, showing its sensors to help blind people to move safely around the city.

On the other hand, we will have the engaging demos that have been developed by the members of the Core Industry Group of FIWARE (Orange, Atos, Engineering, Telefónica), with the title of "Improving management of city services" , that means on optimizing Municipalities' facilities. One of these is the one developed by Telefónica which works in a waste management system for the city of Guadalajara (Spain).

You are all more than welcome to come and visit FIWARE Booth and help us in the diffusion of the FIWARE potential and use cases to the event visitors.

FIWARE will be present in 3 special Parallel and Plenary sessions:

· Real-time open data fuelling the next generation of urban services (DT 01) -parallel session: Tuesday 15, 11:30-12:30 hrs. Conducted by Juanjo Hierro, CTO of the FIWARE Foundation.

  · Open, flexible, scalable city platforms (DT 06) - Parallel Session. Thursday 17, 10:00- 11:00 hrs. Conducted by a member of the Open and Agile Smart Cities Initiative (OASC) TBC.

· Collaborative partnerships to achieve urban common goals (PL 05) - Plenary session. Wednesday. 16, 17:15-18:15 hrs. Given by Ulrich Ahle, CEO of the FIWARE Foundation.

As a Global Partner of the Congress, we will have Visitor and Congress Passes to give away to our Community members. If you are interested, please, don't hesitate and write ask for your pass!
