[Fiware-entrepreneurs] FIWARE presence at IoT Congress 2016

Dear All,

FIWARE will be present at the IoT Solutions World Congress 2016 in Barcelona on the 25-27th October.

The second edition of this event will offer an international environment with more than 8,000 visitors and will focus on IoT solutions in six dedicated areas: Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities, Transportation & Logistics, Innovation and Technology.

As you all know, Internet of Things, combined with information processing and Big Data services on the Cloud, is going to enable a new breed of innovative Smart Digital Services.
FIWARE stands out as the Open Source platform supporting the development of Smart Applications managing context information. That points at #IoTSWC16 as a highly strategic date for our community.

Regarding the event, we have some highlight to share with you in advance:
On the one hand, we will have a booth in the Exhibition Area, booth number B245 of 60 sq. m. There we will show 4 different Demos from the FIWARE start-ups:

. Beeta by Tera, a solution for energy savings.
. Optimization of warehouse logistics with FIWARE-based robots by eProsima.
. Drone Delivery by Connect Robotics, which use Drones for deliveries and transportation.
. CardioWheel by CardioID Technologies, which uses the steering wheel to control the health of the driver.

You will have the opportunity to pass by the booth and test all and each one of the demos.

On the other hand, there will be the Area dedicated to Testbeds, which will show some special Demos: they have won the Testbeds competition organized by the IoT congress and consequently will have the privilege of take place in a prominent space, on the Exhibition area.
2 of the FIWARE demos will be there:

. Adevice, with a water quality control demonstration.
. ETConcept with Fi-Sonic, which processes and analyses the sound captured in a specific space.


Regarding the Congress Area, FIWARE will be present in a slot. The slot details here:

Date: 26th Oct at 12:45-13:30

Title: "FIWARE: towards an open IoT-enabled Industrial Data Space" and the speaker will be Ulrich Ahle, CEO of the FIWARE Foundation.



Finally, we would like to invite all the Community to come and visit the FIWARE activities during the IoT Congress, so we will provide codes for free registration. You can add your name and the number and type of passes that you will need here in this list:
