Dear Pier, Thank you for your reply and sorry for my delay in coming back to you. We had a FISTAR meeting these days and I wanted to discuss this point with my colleagues there as well. Within FISTAR, I am involved in the verification & validation activities and one task we have is to put in place conformance testing for GEs (testing GEis against their specifications using model based testing approaches). We do not plan to cover all GEs but rather to showcase such testing approaches on some of them. S3C appeared as one GE of strong interest as its use is almost mandatory. As explained, our goal is first about the development of tests and so we do not have a specific infrastructure at that stage (there are 7 different use cases in the project, each having its own infrastructure - the issue of infrastructure will appear later on). As we do black box testing, we are only interested in external interfaces ad more especially the one exposed to the applications. Our initial idea has then been to find an existing S3C implementation which would allow us to access its northbound interface, or at least part of it. The point is that today I did not find any access to such implementation neither to corresponding documentation of the interfaces. An alternative option is to instantiate the GE by ourself but as you mention, it depends on the infrastructure and would be a bit more complicated. My colleagues in TUBerlin are working on such an option, but this is not yet achieved. First of all, as the S3C enabler implementation is rather structured, could you tell me what are the specific functionalities you are interested to? This would help me to address your requests to the proper owner of the enabler's functionality (in fact we might imagine it as a super-GE with several sub-GEs inside...). Another important concept about S3C: as its functionalities are closely related to an underlying infrastructure of network nodes and elements, the S3C GE implementation is not deployed directly within the FI-WARE testbed, but rather it can be accessed on local testbed(s) which sit on top of those infrastructures. That's another reason to better understand your needs, and consequently provide the best answer to let you experiment with the enabler. I look forward to receiving soon your feedback. I was not aware of this. For the time being our purpose is FI-PPP internal. How can we gain access to the FIWARE testbed ? Many thanks Franck -----Message d'origine----- De : Miguel Carrillo [mailto:mcp at tid.es] Envoyé : mercredi 13 novembre 2013 12:44 À : Garino Pierangelo Cc : Franck Le Gall; fiware-feedback at lists.fi-ware.eu Objet : Re: [Fiware-feedback] [FI-WARE] Contact form Dear Pier, Can you please handle this query? I leave the originator in CC (Franck Le Gall, from FI-STAR) May I remind Frank that the primary environment for use of the Use Cases is the FI-WARE Testbed, not FI-Lab. FI-Lab is open to everyone (Use Cases included if they need/want to use it) but if there is something PPP restricted, it could be on the Testbed but definitely not in FI-Lab. There are scenarios involving external stakeholders from outside the PPP - then it is reasonable to go for the FI-Lab.
