Dear all,
Thank you for the productive meeting we have just had. This mail
tries to summarize the agreements and action points we have identified
during our call today. Please review and either confirm you are ok or
propose concrete amendments.
* Agreements and Action **Points:*
* The FundingBox platform (FIWARE Branded) will be the platform
through which FIWARE Open Calls will be published and applications
will be evaluated and overall managed.
* The FIWARE Innovation Arena (FIA) will be offered to potential
applicants as a space where:
o they can co-create with others incubating, establish
partnership, and shape the ideas they can then submit in
response to OpenCalls published and managed through the
FundingBox platform
o they can get assistance regarding how to best use FIWARE (which
will typically something that applicants will be requested to
describe when they apply to a FIWARE Open Call
* Users will be able to sign up on the FIA platform using their
credentials as users who have already signed up in FundingBox,
following an OAuth2 approach. That would be the approach to be
proposed to users when they land at the FIA because it will also
help them to submit their applications integrating content
co-created within the FIA using FundingBox APIs.
o AP on Jorge to send information about how
authorization/validation of FundingBox users can be implemented
in FIA using the OAuth2 protocol
o AP on Jorge to send information about the API that FundingBox
offers to submit applications programmatically
* AP on Engineering to develop the proposed changes and setup an
environment where changes can be tested:
o Usage of FundingBox APIs (sign up / authorization of users,
application using FundingBox APIs)
o Changes so that steps linked to submission of applications,
access to information about the open call, etc refer lead to the
proper FundingBox platform web pages
* Once the changes are tested:
o AP on FIWARE Foundation to
+ Open Call landing page: suggestion to visit FIA for
co-creating ideas and finding partners to apply with in
response to the Open Call
+ Certain steps during the application process: e.g.,
suggestion to visit FIA to get recommendations about how to
use FIWARE
o AP on FundingBox to incorporate the proposed text and links in
proper places within their platform
* Goal is to have everything ready for the GCTC Expo announced August
28-29 in Washington. Although not discussed during the confcall,
ideally testing of changes to FIA platform to be developed by
Engineering should be completed by August 21st, then take that week
prior to the GCTC Expo to incorporate changes in the FundingBox
platform and get everything ready
* We will create a mailing list for further exchanges (technical or
not) - Already done, find it on copy. Please use it from now on
instead of replying-all
We will setup a follow-up confcall on Friday July 28th, 09:30am.
