My apologies for the belated reply. Thank you very much for the info on your
evaluation process, it seems very well thought-out.

 

I would like to share with you some material prepared by the FIWARE coaching
team as guidelines for FIWARE criteria evaluation.  We are asking all
accelerators to follow these guidelines to ensure homogeneity across the
FI-PPP program. Could you kindly share it with your FIWARE evaluators? We
would be happy to answer any questions regarding this.

Dear Ilknur,

Very nice to hear from you. It is great that ATOS assigned someone with good
knowledge of FIWARE in the project.

It will be also  very important for WP4 "Technical & Business support to Use
Case Expansion Projects," and 

WP5 "Dissemination and Public Outreach Activities," which we need assistance
for the projects participants

training activities and liaison with the FI-CORE.

 

In the 1st call we have selected a good mix of experts, without involving
any expert from companies that are member

of the FI-ADOPT consortium. Some of the experts that were involved

a) have very knowledge of FIWARE e.g. 

-Irena Pavlova, Reviewer in a couple of FIWARE project

-Francesco Nucci, Engineering 

-Andreas Kouparis, Evaluator/Reviewer of FIWARE project

-Petros Daras, Evaluator/Reviewer of FIWARE project

 

b) Come from the Industry/Finnacial sector e.g.

- Ioannis Fikouras, Ericsson, Sweden

- Spyros Tombros, Philips, Belgium

- Marta Mrak, BBC,UK

- Nikos Nikolaou, UniCredit, Germany

- Aggeliki Dede, Piraeus Bank, Greece

 

c) Have a long record in the review/evaluation in the specific areas, e.g.

- Michael Boniface, UK

- Luigi Atzoni, IT

- Ioanna Tsakou, GR

- Wendy Moreno Peña, UK

- Katharina Neubauer, Austria

- Janko Calic, UK

- Diego Soro, Spain

- Irene Lopez, Spain/UK

 

In all cases, we had a mixture of FIWARE and domain specific experts, and
beyond consensus meetings/PhCs we also 

had the panel meeting/PhC to check all the proposals. 

 

For the second call, any help would be welcomed. If you have any guidelines
for the FIWARE criteria evaluation, it would 

be excellent. 

 

Attached the presentation that I made during the call briefing. Attached
also the invitation that we have sent for the 2nd call

and the schedule that  we have outlined. 

 

Your participation and comments to the briefing and panel, and any
additional advice would be more than welcomed.

Very nice to meet you. Thank you very much David for the introduction. I am
the appointed FIWARE coach for the FI-ADOPT project. We have been asked to
get involved in the evaluation process in the accelerator projects we are
assigned to ensure homogeneity of the FIWARE criteria evaluation across
different accelerator projects. 

 

As a first step, may I kindly ask how your review process was for the first
call. For instance, did you involve a set of external FIWARE experts to do
the FIWARE criteria evaluation? Or did you evaluate it with internal
reviewers from FI-ADOPT project? Which criteria was used ?

 

For the second call, we can share with you some guidelines for the FIWARE
criteria evaluation. We could also help in some other ways. For instance, we
can either review your proposals specifically for FIWARE criteria after you
have a shortlist, or certify the eligibility of the FIWARE evaluators
involved in your process and trust their good judgement.

    While dealing with D4.1 and contacting our FI-CORE coach Ilknur, she
offered to help us with the FIWARE evaluation of proposals and FI-ADOPT
