[Fiware-fiadopt-coaching] Status of Fi-Star SE's

Dear Chaim,

What I know is, all SEs will be supported at least until the end of the FI-PPP program.

And for after the program, there are some mechanisms that EC is asking these projects to put in place to continue support. FIWARE project is setting up a FIWARE foundation for instance, similar things are happening with some of the use projects. I don’t know the exact case of the FI-STAR, but I will inquire about it and get back to you regarding this.

Thank you very much for your prompt response!

What about the general question about the lifespan of these SE's , it's critical for us and we would not like to use SE's that won't have support in upcoming years to come.

Can you let us know about the status of Fi-Star and the SE's and what is planned for upcoming years with them? will these SE's be supported in the next few years or will they be depreciated ?

It seems the FISTAR team is working on this. In the meantime, as a workaround, they have set up a copy (a couple of months old) available at this address:

they will announce it once the problem with the original site is resolved.

In our talk a week and a bit ago, we talked about Fi-Star SE's, their catalogue was down and we didn't know if we should work with their SE's, we were worried about the sustainability of their SE's.

I have sent an email to the contacts given to me by Rasto and I got an email back saying it will be handled, right now their catalogue is still down and we are getting really worried because using one of their SE's is one of our upcoming deliverables.

We don't currently see a reason why to implement an SE which is not being sustained and we don't have access to it (as far as we know) in order to understand how to implement it.

Can you let us know the status of their SE's, and how we should move forward.
