Hi Carmen,

1- Regarding IP access issue, I am not sure if there is a problem currently with the Fiware-lab. It would be best to direct your SME to the fiware-lab-help mailing list directly.

2- “I tried to register on testbed but without success (I know, I'm not PPP member...). Can you tell me is there any difference between https://account.testbed.fi-ware.org/ and https://account.lab.fiware.org/ , or it is the same thing, but on different sub-domains?”
https://account.testbed.fi-ware.org/ is for the FI-PPP members only, your SME can access https://account.lab.fiware.org/ instead.

3- I would also like to know, from the perspective of a company that got the project, do they need to develop their app on fi-ware servers or they can use their own with installed GEs and SEs? If they need to develop it on fi-ware servers, can they use them after the project as well? If they can develop it on their own, do they need to migrate everything on fi-ware servers at the end? What is the best practice?
It is recommended that they use the Fiware-lab servers to do the experimentation. They can use the global GE instances available or create their own GE instances in their application space on the lab. After development/experimentation stage is over, i.e. when they want to offer their products/services commercially, they can use the commercial FIWARE infrastructures. This is the best practices recommended.

Best regards,

ilknur

Subject: [Fiware-fractals-coaching-atos] [Fiware-fractals-coaching] FW: FI-WARE questions

Dear coachers,
We have received the following question.
Could you help us?
Best regards,
Carmen

I tried to made Ubuntu instance on lab.fiware.org<http://lab.fiware.org>, I made pair and I allocated and associated IP, but on every server where I tried to that (Spain2, Madrid, Prague, etc), public IP is unreachable (I tried with, ping and tracert commands, and with Putty) so I can't manage my Instance using SSH. Few month ago, I done the same and everything was OK. Am I doing something wrong or it is current problem with fi-ware?
I noticed that there are few IP pools, e.g. net8300, public-ext-net-1, federation-ext-net-1, etc. Where can I read more about it, is there any differences between them etc.?

I tried to register on testbed but without success (I know, I'm not PPP member...). Can you tell me is there any difference between https://account.testbed.fi-ware.org/ and https://account.lab.fiware.org/ , or it is the same thing, but on different sub-domains?

I would also like to know, from the perspective of a company that got the project, do they need to develop their app on fi-ware servers or they can use their own with installed GEs and SEs? If they need to develop it on fi-ware servers, can they use them after the project as well? If they can develop it on their own, do they need to migrate everything on fi-ware servers at the end? What is the best practice?

I know that I asked for many answers, so I will be patient. Thank you in advanced!

Best regards,
Vladan Minic
