According to the conditions stated by the review of the EC (see check point 11), every company owning a FIWARE enabler should state its position regarding the conditions under which it will be made available beyond the PPP programme [cid:image001.png at 01CD9FBD.1BF3F2E0] So, we need to ask every FIWARE partner, owning enablers in the FIWARE test bed, to fill in the data corresponding to its part. We expect that information filled before October 22th After being approved by the PCC, please find the attached link to a google document https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Asksuam5cM-YdGxJOXJidjI2bjJMTC1KQWNnb2FDWmc#gid=0. If you have any major suggestion, please let me know before next Friday The document is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Asksuam5cM-YdGxJOXJidjI2bjJMTC1KQWNnb2FDWmc#gid=0 I prefer to use a google sheet to allow common edition. Incorporation of Red.es is one of the points that will be part of an amendment to the Grant Agreement that we are currently closing. Red.es, as you may probably know, is the organization that has brought and operates the infrastructure (datacenter, servers, and connectivity to the Internet) on top of which the FI-WARE Testbed is being deployed. Red.es has already spent around 200 KEUR in equipments dedicated to the tesbed and is planning to extend its investment up to additional 1MEUR for the FI-WARE Second Release. Red.es is a public corporate entity attached to the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism (MINETUR) which is responsible for promoting the development of the Information Society in Spain. The deal we reached with Red.es was agreed at FI-WARE PCC (Project Coordination Committee) level and implied that Red.es would contribute all the above mentioned physical infrastructure without costs to the FI-WARE project. However, Red.es stated during the negotiations that it would require coverage of at least some of the operational costs it will incur. The FI-WARE PCC found out that the best way to accommodate this was allowing Red.es to join as a new partner (this way, only a % of those costs would be covered) and assigning it an amount of funding that would partly cover their operation costs and their participation in some dissemination activities. The FI-WARE PCC found that this funding could be obtained by means of reducing a bit the budget/funding linked to reimburse costs of members of the Scientific Council (SC) and Market Advisory Council (MAC) initially planned, taking advantage that activities of both Councils have not yet started, as well as some funding assigned to UPM to cover their participation in the Data/Context Management WP. This way, incorporation of Red.es would not have impact on budget/funding of any of the existing partners. Note that incorporation of Red.es as partner has the advantage that it will imply they will sign the Consortium Agreement, therefore they will comply with all the clauses about confidenciality, liability, etc. that seemed to be a concern for some of the partners. The amount of funding that Red.es would be assigned would be 127 KEUR, for a total budget of of 190 KEUR (i.e., aprox. 66,8% of funding) In order to implement all this, we need to confirm there is no objection by any of the FI-WARE partners to the incorporation of Red.es as FI-WARE partner. That is the rationale for this mail. Unless any objection is received before EOB of Friday this week, we will proceed according to the plan and the decisions made at FI-WARE PCC level.
