Hi, You may receive this email twice, but just in case ... Cheers, -- Juanjo -------- Original Message -------- Subject: IMPORTANT: Amendment 6 of FI-WARE DoW Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2013 12:13:27 +0100 From: Juanjo Hierro <jhierro at tid.es><mailto:jhierro at tid.es> To: fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu<mailto:fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu> <fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu><mailto:fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu> CC: fiware-wpl at lists.fi-ware.eu<mailto:fiware-wpl at lists.fi-ware.eu> <fiware-wpl at lists.fi-ware.eu><mailto:fiware-wpl at lists.fi-ware.eu>, fiware-wpa at lists.fi-ware.eu<mailto:fiware-wpa at lists.fi-ware.eu> <fiware-wpa at lists.fi-ware.eu><mailto:fiware-wpa at lists.fi-ware.eu> Dear all, We have just closed a first consolidated draft of amendment 6 of the FI-WARE DoW. You can download it from: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/27/3237/FI-WARE-DoW-Amendment6-DRAFT+v2.docx The changes that this new version comprises are summarized as follows: 1. Update of the logo. 2. Change in the names of two of the existing partners (FT and NSN-H). 3. Incorporation of Startup Weekend (this was a beneficiary from the third Open Call whose incorporation was delayed until their Legal and Finantial validation was closed) 4. Incorporation of new beneficiaries that will work in the connection of a number of cities to FI-Lab (Málaga. Sevilla, Santander, Trento). Their activities will be become part of a new task10.7. 5. Changes of efforts of Engineering (E-IIS) from WP3 to WP9. 6. Transfer of some of the efforts from Intel in WP4 to both IBM-IL and UPM. 7. A new third party from DT. 8. Extension of the project to month 40th. This has not yet approved by the consortia but a voting will be carried out his week and I don't expect major issues. The 2 first points are simply cosmetic, so we understand that they won't bring any issue. Point 3 means to close the pending action of adding the last beneficiary (Startup Weekend) of Open Call 3 and we have to add them to comply with the results of the Open Call to which we are bound by contract. Bear in mind that Startup Weekend were in the list of beneficiaries of Open Call 3, and nobody objected to their addition as beneficiaries (the same way nobody objected about the rest). We believe their involvement at this moment can bring a significant push on awareness about FI-WARE within the community of entrepreneurs and startups given their very good reputation. Point 4 is the result of executing the decision to devote some funding to the connection of cities to FI-Lab, as already agreed long time ago and captured in amendment 5 of the DoW. Points 5 to 7 only impact the partners involved and I guess won't mean any issue to any other partner. Therefore, we will consider that you agree with the contents of the amendment regarding points 1-7 unless we hear any objection before Wednesday EOB. Regarding point 8, we will carry out a voting on doodle to determine whether we finally go for the extension or not, now that we got answers to questions formulated to our PO regarding the implications. The changes associated to this point will be removed or kept depending on the results of this voting. The draft of the amendment includes them so that you can better measure the implications of those changes. Don't hesitate to formulate any question you may have.
