dear meiko,

yes. the whole fiware acceleration programme is intended to incentivate the
adoption of fiware technologies in innovative ict products and/or services.
so the use of fiware technologies is mandatory.

however it is not needed to produce a new product/service from scratch, it
is also possible to extend an already existing product/sevice with new
functionalities using fiware technologies.
