Not being  a member of the consortium you are not expected to contribute or modify GE implementations. We will open up the platform for external contribution in the future but the collaboration framework (community, governance rules, etc.)  is not in place yet.

I tried to register for the fiware catalogue today on my Mac with various browser (safari, chrome, Firefox..) on this site: http://catalogue.fiware.org/user/register

Unfortunately this was not possible as I had to type in a captcha code which was not displayed in the form, see screenshot.
