Smart cities spending is expected to propel growth of Asia-Pacific’s Internet of Things (IoT) market to reach nearly $437bn in revenue by 2026. This is up from just under $97bn in 2020, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.52 per cent and is being driven by growing investments in 4G/LTE and 5G, reduced IoT sensor costs, and government support. The ASEAN cities are on the brink of doing just that, as urbanisation is happening at a breakneck pace. This is a critical turning point for the region. By embracing smart solutions, Southeast Asia has a window of opportunity to set its smaller cities on a more sustainable development path and to address the growing pains of its largest cities before they become intractable problems. Recognising the potential of smart solutions as set of powerful and cost-effective tools to cities, the ASEAN Smart Cities Network has been launched with 26 locations across the region signing on as pilot cities. The network is to set standards, share best practices, develop action plans, and launch some solutions on a regional scale, in order for the ASEAN cities to be able to take significant steps forward. Join us this 21-22 September @ the 4th Cities 4.0 Conference and Exhibition, as we continue to furnish you with more information on the smart cities development, priority development areas of the ASEAN cities. This is an unparalleled platform to be connected with smart city projects owners and to expand your solutions and technologies market reach to the ASEAN smart city authorities. *Participate in our 12-month virtual products / solutions showcase and generate leads on 24/7 basis* *Download* <http://cities-2021-technology.confexhub.com/images/cities_technology_inquiry.php> the conference brochure to know more *Mark your calendar* <http://msco-cities-lgbc.confexhub.com/images/cities2021.ics> ------------------------------ [image: http://msco-cities-2021.confexhub.com/images/expo-banner-4.png] *Explore and Enjoy:* • Exhibition Tour • Technology Presentations • Complimentary Expert Insight @ Live Forums • Business matching meetings *Register as Trade Visitor* <http://cities4-2021-virtualexpo.confexmanager.com/member/edit_profile/exp> ------------------------------ [image: http://msco-cities-2021.confexhub.com/images/msco-banner-1.png] *FREE WHITEPAPER* *Malaysia Smart City Outlook 2021-2022 (MSCO 2021-2022)* themed *“Embracing Technology Towards Enhancing Smart Cities and Communities”* provides a comprehensive picture of the advancement in technologies that are key to the success of smart cities, highlighting the priority areas for development.
