[Fiware-general-help] FW: Digital built environment (EC EISMEA/DG-GROW project) - Construction Data Space

Dear fiware team,  

We are contacting you on behalf of the European Innovation Council and SMEs
Executive Agency (EISMEA) and the European Commission (DG GROW).

CARSA (together with PwC and TUS) is currently supporting EISMEA and DG GROW
in promoting the digitalization of the European construction sector
(attached the letter of support), in three ways:

I.	Preparing the ground for a common European construction data space;
II.	Promote the digitalization of building permit systems in Member
States; and
III.	Facilitate wider adoption of BIM in the EU.

 

Related to the first objective mentioned above,  we are currently deepening
our research on two selected use cases for data sharing, in the areas of
“digital building permits” and “circularity in the construction industry”.
During a webinar organised by us with around 100 experts/stakeholders, these
two use cases were indicated as the ones most interesting to focus on, among
12 use cases briefly presented. We are now gathering data through desk
research and interviews, to get a better description and understanding of
each use case (and their sub-use cases), including, e.g., goal, actors,
roles and responsibilities, functional components and data interaction
models.

 

We invite you to take part in our next round of interviews/meetings which
will take place in the second half of February/early March. The idea is to
draw on your experience in data space development with the goal of
determining the possible building blocks (governance, interoperability,
sovereignty & trust, value creation, etc) that the data space should
implement to meet the functional and non-functional requirements for the two
use case areas mentioned above.

 

For now, it is very important for us to know if you would be willing to help
us and if we could set up a meeting. At a later date, we will contact you
with further details.

onwards).
