[Fiware-gold-members] Smart Country Convention

Dear Platinum and Gold members of the FIWARE Foundation,

today I'm offering you a unique opportunity to participate in a new event
format on Smart Cities in Berlin / Germany: The Smart Country Convention.

This first edition from November 20 to 22, 2018 is expected to have 10.000
international participants. It is filling a gap as the CeBIT in Germany is
not addressing this topic any longer.

It is organized by the Berlin Fair and BITKOM (the German organization of
IT and Telko companies).

Today together with Verus I had a meeting with the CEO of BITKOM. FIWARE is
member of BITKOM and we reached the agreement that FIWARE members are
entitled to use the discount for BITKOM members as exhibitors (25 to 33%).

There are two possible scenarios:

   - We will have a FIWARE booth including all our members who are willing
   to participate
   - We will create a 'FIWARE World' with a FIWARE booth in the center and
   several partner booth around

Participation will be based on a cost sharing model (still to be detailed
based on your feedback). The CEO of Engineering gave already his approval
to participate.

In addition:

   - FIWARE will become an institutional partner of the event
   - FIWARE will contribute to the content of the congress (Olaf will take
   the lead on this as chairman of our MSC Smart Cities)
   - AND we are in negotiation to have our Summit in November 2019 (next
   year) in Berlin colocated to the Smart Country Convention 2019 (in this
   case we will have our Summits Nov 18 in Malaga, Spring 19 in Genua, Nov 19
   in Berlin, Spring 20 in Malaga)

Please provide a feedback until May 25th to Angeles and Verus whether you
are interested to participate and to develop the approach together with us.
