Dear all,

As you may know, FIWARE Foundation together with BDVA, Gaia-X and
IDSA launched the Data Spaces Business Alliance (DSBA)
<https://data-spaces-business-alliance.eu/> with the goal of
accelerating materialization of Data Spaces that support the development
of a Data Economy.

Within the 100-days plan created under the umbrella of this alliance,
the four organizations have been working towards reaching convergence in
their respective views towards definition of a Reference Technology
Framework for creation of Data Spaces.

   A Technical Convergence Discussion Document
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/18QzbhZTo29DxvRh5OZmv1tie7qGSXrpW/view>
for capturing status of these discussions has been produced and version
1.0 is now available to the public.  This document will be updated as
discussions evolve and results get consolidated, but the link provided
will always lead to the latest version for the convenience of interested
audiences.

The document will be socialized within relevant technical working
groups of the respective DSBA organizations to gather feedback that can
be incorporated in the discussion.   This will be driven through the
FIWARE TSC in the particular case of the FIWARE Foundation.

One of our target goals in the FIWARE Foundation is that open source
components implementing the functions described in this document will
end being part of the FIWARE Catalogue, this way positioning FIWARE as
leading open source initiative supporting creation of Data Spaces. A
number of members of the FIWARE Community started this summer to
collaborate towards a first implementation of some of these target
components and organizations that feel like they may invest and
contribute to this development are welcomed to do so. Note that some
elements of the envisioned Reference Technology Framework, like the
support of Decentralized Identity and Access Management (IAM) based on
recent W3C DID and VC/VP standards are expected to be useful beyond Data
Spaces.

   Looking for your feedback!

   Best regards,
Document
