Ciao Stefano, You mention that a reason to explain why there should be only 4 gold member representatives in the new BoD is that 2 of the current platinum members will become gold members on January 1st, 2025, and that would imply altering the balance between Platinum and Gold member representatives in the BoD. However, some new Platinum members may be joining the FIWARE Foundation after this election and before the next one takes place. That would equally alter the balance between Platinum and Gold member representatives in the BoD, which would be less fair for gold members. The last BoD was formed by 14 representatives (7 corresponding to Platinum members and 7 corresponding to gold member representatives). This was because there were 7 Platinum members at the time the gold member representatives election took place. However, as far as I understand, AWS stopped its Platinum membership effective at the beginning of this year, and probably their downgrading was announced months before. In that case, BoD members remained the same and this didn't seem to be a problem, right? After all, BoD gold member representatives are supposed to seek the benefit of the whole FIWARE Community, not just the agenda of their companies. Why should things be managed differently now? If we go for 4 gold member representatives this time, breaking the rule of considering current Platinum members at the time the elections are called, there should be a clear mechanism to reach the balance of seats in the BoD once one or several new Platinum members join. For example, running an election for a new gold member representative as soon as possible and not later than within a month. Since this is a sensitive question to all gold members, I expect this mail will find its way to reach all of them since my last email was moderated.
