Dear Stefano, During elections of members of the FIWARE Technical Steering Committee (TSC), a Google form has also been used as means for voting the different candidates. In order to ensure and be able to prove that the process fulfill all required guarantees, members of the Community were appointed who could check the votes were properly counted and everything was alright. For this purpose, they were given permission to access the spreadsheet that is automatically created with the Google form and were able to check its history, etc. The process is similar to actual election systems in several countries where representatives of the political parties involved in the election are able to act as witness of the vote accounting process. I say it is similar because in the mentioned case of the TSC, the people acting as auditors were not candidates themselves. I would highly encourage that a mechanism like this is implemented so that members of the Community as well as candidates who ask for that, can join and verify the accounting process. This shouldn't be taken wrongly. It is a mechanism that should be established by default so I believed it was worth asking for it, following the good practice already implemented for the FIWARE TSC elections. It will also allow to avoid mistakes.
