After all this time we are still with the nightmare of the amendment. Juanjo has decided to drop this change, he foresees problems with the EC if we do this. So we will just keep it as it was and we will have 1-GE deliverables.
This does not introduce any changes in your work as the wiki and other resources are dealt with in the same manner.
However, we need to produce deliverables. In the new scenario there is one that is already passed a number of months. Would it be possible to have the architecture document in word format?

I am proposing a reduction of the management overhead. Delivering these would ultimately backfire because it would result in poor and bad looking documents with a single GE. I see it as a waste of coordination resources.
Of course if you continue working with the GEri the least that you are expected to do is to release bug fixes or improved documentation! But the formal delivery in the DoW is for the EC and our focus is the developer community.
* The delivery towards the outside world is using github, readthedocs, catalogue, etc. You will do this, definitely!
* The delivery towards the EC takes place via the backlog where we will document everything. So you get a formal print and justification of your work if you get audited in the future
Note that if you insist on delivering the user manual, installation manual, etc. separately we will not put any managerial effort apart from reviewing and delivering. Which means that you will haver to generate the word docs for delivery using the automated tools, go through the usual iterations and follow the common templates.

BUT there is still activity ongoing in KIARA, therefore the WP can not end at M13 and has to run until M25. In the current document the end month is set to M13 and has to be reset to M25.
I would also keep some deliverables (e.g. User / Admin guides, open spec and SW release) for M25, because they are not a huge effort to create and there may be a new release containing bug fixes or improved documentation etc. (at least for KIARA).

Thanks for the feedback. I added the partner role for TI.
As for WP18, I am going to remove all the painful overhead of delivering nearly empty docs. If I understood the approach well, the incubated GEris should not have any implications here, as they are no longer in the contract after M13 (they are not funded since then).
We may keep M25 as the end date but definitely we will remove all 2nd issues of the deliverables, add a remark that this GEri is the only active one. The backlog (that could includes the availability of all the software, etc) should be enough if we keep this well documented in a ticket. Note that the backlog is the deliverable that has a second issue. This could be the way to ensure that there is a formal evidence that this GE did their work. Agreed?

It is time to circulate the draft document with the 2nd amendment of the FI-Core contract. You can find the amendment that consolidates what we intend to include here:

There are still a few loose ends that we intend to address very quickly but they are reasonably well isolated and have very limited impact on other partners that the one concerned with the change in each case. Examples of things pending (marked with comments in the doc) are:
* Resources allocation of iHub, still under discussion
* Reductions of resources of Create-net to transfer them to Martel
* Orange/Atos node - no description so far, we may need to remove them if we do not receive the descriptions.
* Figure 46 needs adding new countries to the map
* Other minor changes within a same partner (no impact on others) such as budget redistribution, Atos adding a 3rd party, etc.
Note that the numbers under "B.1.3.12 Summary of staff effort" are the old ones and we will update them later. Our colleague from the admin sections may contact you for the usual details of the budget/costs and effort breakdown per task and we will create the usual effort tables for B.1.3.12.
We have the intention to send this draft to Ragnar on Friday at 12:00, adding the pending bits that I mentioned. Please send us any objections/comments before then, preferably in private (this is a list with maaaany people)
Needless to say, this is FI-Core confidential and cannot be distributed outside the consortium
