Hello Antonio,

for me the change of the sentence is ok. And yes you are right the comparison of OAuth and SAML doesn't fit.

Best regards

 Wolfgang

Betreff: [Fiware-idm-ge] OAuth2 and SSO

Dear all,

The OAuth section in the FI-WARE architecture description starts with:

"Contrary to SAML, OAuth has nothing to do with SSO."

I believe this is a misleading statement. Althrough OAuth is not oriented to SSO, we do implement a SSO experience using OAuth2 in the FI-LAB portal. Some users have asked us about this.

So, I propose removing that statement from the documentation. Also, I think that starting the section with a comparation between OAuth and SAML does not add any value.

I would change the first sentence to:

"OAuth's main focus is on 'protected resources' of the user that a consumer wishes to access."

Best regards.
