Hi all,

I found out that the date I mentioned for our first confcall was misleading. In order to avoid any misunderstanding, I confirm that the confcall will be this Wednesday April 12, 15:00 CET.

I'll send a calendar invitation right after this mail.

  Cheers,

  Juanjo

Dear all,

Please read this mail carefully. Sorry because it is a long mail but includes some important info and also identifies some initial action points.

This mail intends to serve for the kick-off of the activities of the FIWARE iHubs Committee. Formally speaking, the FIWARE iHubs Committee will initially work in interim mode until it is formally approved by the FIWARE Foundation Board of Directors (but we don't expect major issues).

Besides this mailing list, the following shared GDrive folder is available for members of the Committee:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4G2SvO4TLuLWXl3QnBxczMyNDQ?usp=sharing

The charter proposed for this Committee is now available as shared google docs in that folder, but also through this link:

https://docs.google.com/a/fiware.org/document/d/1q7DPLnqB2pRlerrj1UK9oWceXp-wN8-N9qWsAxFnG5Y/edit?usp=sharing

As stated in the Charter, Juan Marcelo, director of the FIWARE iHub of Sevilla-Málaga will act as interim Chair, while Prof. Flavio de Oliveira will act as interim vice-chair.

Members of the BoO of the FIWARE Foundation as well as Angeles Tejado from the FIWARE Press Office will also be members of the mailing list.

@All: If you miss someone we should add, please let us know (you can reply to the list to hear any other's opinion). The current list of members can be found below my signature in this mail. If I have added you by mistake and you don't want to get involved in the FIWARE iHubs Committee, please accept my apologies and send me an email (please, don't spam the mailing list) and I will immediately drop you from the list.

@All: Please review the charter and make suggestions comments. Please bear in mind that the shared document is the master copy, so only incorporate comments and suggest edits, taking advantage of the facilities provided by Google docs for that purpose.

I can anticipate that regular audios will be on Mondays or Fridays, typicall monthly, since this will help to avoid the risk of collision with trips (concrete day of the week will be determined in our first call). However, due to Eastern holidays, a first audio for the kick-off of activities will take place on Wednesday March 11 at 15:00 CET (this way enabling people from Latam can join) which will be focused on the discussion of topics already identified in the Charter, and others you are welcome to propose. Then, we will identify first actions with responsibles.

@All and quite important: You have to be individual member of the FIWARE Foundation to participate in the Committee. Some of you haven't yet submitted your application so we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will have to remove you from the Committee (bear in mind that one of the reasons for this is to ensure that members of the Committee will follow the FIWARE Code of Conduct [1]). For instructions about how to join, please check [2]. Deadline for fixing this is Wednesday March 11 at 09:00am CET.
