Dear FIWARE Community members,

We are cruising into the month of August with exciting opportunities,
initiatives, and events ahead. We know the vacation period is in full swing
but so are our activities for the months ahead. The Marketing Round-up is *the
*way to stay up-to-date with what is going on in the FIWARE Community and
what FIWARE can offer you in terms of great opportunities, and it is our
goal to make sure you, our members, are the very first ones to hear about
all that is to come: from exhibition opportunities, FIWARE Impact Stories,
Open Calls, and new partnerships that will benefit you and your business,
to speaking opportunities and more.

July was a great month for us and we are dedicated to making the upcoming

Among many strategic topics, we spoke to them about how their experience
contributes to the foundation’s line of work, the promotion of the FIWARE
technology, as well as where the strength of the foundation lies at. Next
up: *Juan Marcelo Gaitán Leiva* (Chairman of the FIWARE iHub
Committee) and *Antonio
Jara* (CEO, HOPU and BoD member).
Foundation News
Join us in welcoming Arun to the FIWARE Foundation
The FIWARE Foundation team continues to grow. We recently welcomed on
board Arun Kannan. Arun is currently studying to obtain an MSc. in Global
Production Engineering at the Technische Universität Berlin and he joins
the foundation as a Product Manager for our Smart World by FIWARE. He has
not had much time to familiarize himself with the Berlin office yet because
he is, as we speak, supporting the Smart World by FIWARE team in Paderborn
(Germany) where the popular model will be showcased for an entire month in
its city hall. Welcome to the FIWARE family, Arun!
