Dear FIWARE Community,

With summer ahead of us, we can't help but be optimistic about what the
second half of 2021 has in store for us. We hope and look forward
to attending the first face-to-face events in the fall, and want to bring
you along for the ride. In our last Marketing Round-up Call we already
spoke about upcoming events in more detail, including the FIWARE Smart Fest
<https://www.fiware.org/fiware-smart-fest/>, and now is the time to
express your interest in joining us at the likes of SCCON, IOTSWC, and
SCEWC before 31 May and book your booth for IOTSWC and ITS World Congress
(Hamburg) with us before 30 June.

It's official! FIWARE is heading back to *IOT Solutions World Congress *from
*5-7 October 2021* in Barcelona (Spain), and we are inviting the FIWARE

Join FIWARE at the Smart Country Convention (SCCON) in Berlin
Those who joined our FIWARE Global Summit in 2019 may still remember *SCCON*.
We will be back from *26-28 October 2021* at this fantastic event, which
will be a hybrid event with a focus on f2f meetings. FIWARE will be present
with approximately 200m2 of booth space, which will be enough to
accommodate roughly 15-20 co-exhibitors (first come, first served). Here,
co-exhibitors will also be able to run their own booth initiatives.

Join FIWARE at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona
FIWARE will be participating in *SCEWC* (*16-18 November 2021*) as a
Platinum Sponsor. The conference will take place virtually but there will
be a physical exhibition area where FIWARE will be present with a 200m2
space and 20 co-exhibitor spaces (first come, first served). Co-exhibitors
can run their own booth initiatives at the booth and will have visibility
on the SCEWC website and app.

Members-only session: Collaboration opportunities and open calls
The *FIWARE Smart Fes <https://www.fiware.org/fiware-smart-fest/>t
<https://www.fiware.org/fiware-smart-fest/>* offers a collaborative session
for members only where we will discuss ongoing and new opportunities coming
from open calls of interest to FIWARE users, and those interested in
ecosystem building, and how to collaborate together. At the same time, we
will be looking at innovative use cases in the context of projects'
opportunities. Join us *10 June from 9:00-10:30 (CEST)* via a special link
that will be sent to members prior to the event.

(Re)visit the FIWARE DLT4Gov DAY
On 22 April, FIWARE hosted the *FIWARE DLT4Gov DAY* on behalf of the *TOKEN
Project* <https://token-project.eu/>. The virtual event explores how
blockchain and other DLTs can contribute to more transparent, sustainable,
and inclusive public services. In addition, it looked at how DLTs simplify
the management of trusted information, making it easier and more secure for
public administration to access critical public-sector data.

The *FIWARE Marketing Materials *are there for you to use however and
whenever you like, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to
find what you are looking for. So, what's new? Not too long ago the portal
got a complete makeover whereby we introduced useful filters, such as

Strategy Talk
*The FIWARE family continues to grow*

*Group #2 - Takeaways from the first FIWARE Ideas Sprint *
In each Marketing Round-up, we will be focusing on the main takeaways from
a question posed during the FIWARE Ideas Sprint on 24 February. This
month's question was: *How can members and partners be (more) involved at
upcoming events**?* Here, the main takeaways were:  FIWARE should 1)
organize more local events 2) produce certificates for FIWARE trainers and
products 3) take a look at the Asterisk Open Source Framework for community
building.
Call to Action & Open Calls
*DIHs and SMEs - The first i4Trust open call has launched! *
In this open call, i4Trust <https://i4trust.org/> will select up to 16
Bottom-up Experiments that seek to implement experiments that demonstrate
how already existing processes can be improved or new innovative services
can be created by means of sharing data among multiple companies using
i4Trust. The call is open to consortia of 1 DIHs and at least 3
SMEs/slightly bigger companies and closes on *6 September 2021*.

Advancing the adoption of digital twin technology

Snap4City: FIWARE-powered smart app builder for sentient cities
Cities are rapidly transforming their services in order to address a
multitude of challenges. Vertical smart solutions are progressively being
replaced by solutions capable of exploiting a huge range of data channels.
*Snap4City* is an open source platform with a range of activities in Smart
City and IoT/IoE integrated domains.

Upcoming Events
Present and future of data exchange architectures for Smart Energy
In the context of the OPEN DEI Project <https://www.opendei.eu/>, FIWARE
iHub *IDEAS FORUM* is hosting "Present and future of data exchange
architectures for Smart Energy" on *19 May from 15:00-16:30* (CEST). The
event will highlight the main approaches, objectives, and achievements of

AI Marketplace meets FIWARE
On *27 May from 14:00-15:30 (CEST)*, *AI Marketplace* (in German:
