Dear receiver, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Katri Salminen. I am affiliated with Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and I am writing to express my organization's interest in becoming a member of the FIWARE iHub network, with a particular focus on the manufacturing sector and potential to apply FIWARE to other domains as well. Our manufactruring laboratory (FieldLab, https://sites.tuni.fi/fieldlab-en/) has been using FIWARE and organising events around it for roughly a year. We collaborate with SMEs in order to develop use cases around the FIWARE implementation. I had a short discussion with our RDI leaders in charge of TAMK's memberships. Generally, their response was positive as FIWARE is a central part of two of our ongoing projects and submitted funding applications. However, they would like to have answers on following questions: 1. Annual cost of the iHub membership for FIWARE non-members? 2. Is the billing done on yearly basis or, e.g., bi-annually? 3. If for some reason (e.g., lack of external funding or organisational changes) TAMK cannot continue the iHub membership, what is the process to end it (i.e., can we just notify that we cannot hold the iHub status any longer)? 4. Does the reporting of the activities include sending sensitive information such as workshop attendance list with names and organisations? If there is time on your side, we could also organise a TEAMS meeting. This could help us to choose which category of iHub to apply for.
