Dear FIWARE Community,

One of the biggest announcements during the last Marketing Round-up call
was undoubtedly the FIWARE SMART FEST. Though the pandemic is still
stopping us from meeting in person, it won't stop us from meeting
altogether. We are excited to work with the entire FIWARE Community to
bring this event to life and to show the world what the FIWARE Community is
doing in various domains. Not to mention that our new events platform,
AirMeet, will make it much easier to connect and network with fellow
attendees and the overall FIWARE Community. Of course, plenty of other
things were also discussed during the call. Read on to find out!
Great Opportunities for You
Join the biggest FIWARE event this summer: the FIWARE SMART FEST
We are excited to announce the biggest FIWARE event of 2021 - so far.
Taking place from *8-10 June*, the community-driven *FIWARE SMART FEST*
will bring together members of the FIWARE Community and beyond for business
(domain) and technology sessions, and the *FIWARE Accelerator DAY* (10 June
from 14:00-17:00 CEST). The latter will hand over the mic to 6 accelerators
from across Europe and include a session on the i4Trust open calls. While

Brand new video series: United We Thrive
FIWARE’s brand new monthly video series aims to highlight FIWARE users who
apply the power of open source and collaboration to everything they do.
Through “live" interviews on AirMeet, we will showcase individuals that are
jointly creating practical solutions and services that are making an impact
towards a greener, sustainable and cost-effective planet, and that would
not have been conceived if it wasn't for the FIWARE ecosystem. Are you
currently working on solutions and/or initiatives that have happened as a

Watch the FIWARE Mobility DAY on-demand via our YouTube channel
With our first virtual event using AirMeet behind us, we look forward to
using the platform for many more future events and FIWARE DAYs. In late
March, the *FIWARE Mobility DAY *welcomed 19 experts in the field to the
stage, as well as over 300 attendees from 50 countries, to discuss the

Strategy Talk
*Group #1 - Takeaways from the first FIWARE Ideas Sprint *
>From now on, in each Marketing Round-up, we will be focusing on the main
takeaways from a question posed during the FIWARE Ideas Sprint on 24
February. This month's question was: *How can collaborations with FIWARE
iHubs be more fruitful for you? *Here, the main takeaways were: (1) How can
EDIHs collaborate together to get support from the FIWARE Foundation to
demonstrate that they belong to a network? (2) FIWARE iHubs need more
support to organize local bootcamps. (3) How can we better support SMEs
that do not have a local FIWARE iHub to do business or connect with cities?
*Max Kleinsorg joins the FIWARE Marketing Team *
As a Junior Marketing Manager, Max will be responsible for the Marketing of
our Smart Community Partners and the FIWARE Smart World. Some of you might
know Max already because he is no stranger to FIWARE. Before starting his
full-time job at FIWARE headquarters in Berlin, he studied economics in
Kiel, Germany, and worked as a freelancer for the Smart MaaS project. You,
therefore, may have met him already at the Smart World by FIWARE during one
of our last physical events. Fun fact: he has been a semi-professional
sailor for the last ten years!

A/RporTWIN: FIWARE powered AR tool created for airport operations
Designed from the ground up, *A/RporTWIN* provides a powerful data
visualization and analytical tool to be used by managers and operators of
various mobility systems. It not only allows the user to visualize the
infrastructure itself but also integrates data from different sources and
derived insights that are useful during daily operations.

The FIWARE DLT4Gov DAY on behalf of the TOKEN Project
The *FIWARE DLT4Gov DAY*, *22 April from* *14:00-16:00 (CEST)*, discusses
how DLTs and blockchain can simplify the management of trusted information,
making it easier for public administration to access and use critical
public-sector data whilst making sure that this information remains secure.
