Around 60 cities in Europe and Latin America belong to the Open & Agile Smart Cities Initiative which have agreed to operate, share and publish their smartcity data by means of FIWARE interoperability model.

For this reason, thousands of companies, including large corporations, startups, SMEs and individual developers worldwide are willing to provide their Internet of Things solutions to these cities, founding such solutions on FIWARE open source platform components.

FIWARE IoT Ready Program is designed to demonstrate the ability of the IoT solutions to seamless interoperate with FIWARE platform. The data base of products and developers that have successfully accomplished the FIWARE IoT Ready Program is the catalogue of the ecosystem of IoT hardware producers and technology providers that can be selected by the OASC Alliance cities to build their smartcity solutions.

Then, this FIWARE ecosystem means a singular and straightforward business opportunity for IoT products: It is simple: FIWARE IoT stack handles well-known IoT protocol standards (MQTT, LWM2M/CoAP, etc) and exposes the same data REST API to developers.

AT4 wireless is facilitating on behalf of FIWARE the access to the IoT Ready Program to the IoT hardware producers and technology providers by helping to pass through the assessment process to show interoperability with the smart city infrastructure of more than 60 important cities worldwide.
