Dear Colleagues, Juanjo has just let me know that the EC is to run shortly a new assessment of FIWARE GEs that will result in a list of GEs that will be allowed to continue as part of FICORE activities. This is a similar process as the one run time ago in the FIWARE project. If a GE is stopped, only future development efforts will be rejected. The criteria the EC will consider this time can be summarized in the following points: - A GE needs to be presented as a product available to developers. It needs to have a clear added value at least as a component integrated with other enablers in the chapter architecture. - The GE needs to maintain the tools proposed for all GEs (Github, APIary, etc) Check the document recently provided on this regard: https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Developer_Guidelines - The GE owner needs to agree to focus on providing quick&good support to developers over the JIRA tool (specially to companies participating in the FIWARE acceleration programme). Because of this, I have added a new slot "Scenarios & Demos using all BE GEs" in the agenda. The main goal of this slot is to take Architecture Scenarios II & III to the reality. This means, deployed at FIWARE Lab and providing a clear added-value to developers (compared to today's Scenario I). In my view as architect, we have to meet the following functions for September/October: 1. That we will be able to deploy IoT-Broker adding the functionality "Sensor2Things" to Scenario I. This means that integrators/developers will be able to combine IoT simple resources in one with different algorithms and with a very clear and easy API. 2. That we will be able to deploy IoT Discovery in order to add the functionality of Semantic searches for the FIWARE Lab Ecosystem available today at instances of Orion ContextBroker and/or IoT-Agents. NEC, U.Surrey: you may prepare some 1-2 slides for the discussion or we can just use your regular slides plus the chapter scenarios and discuss. The most important is to meet the expected results as per our discussion. Of course we may re-define those scenarios and/or functions during our meeting but the added-value of each GE versus Scenario I has to be provided.
