It seems that you are using the <pre> HTML tag instead of the Markdown syntax.

Example:
  install.md<http://install.md/> lines 50-52:

#### Option 1: Command-line Client
Alternatively, to do this step directly from the command-line, connect to MySQL using: <pre>$ mysql -u {username} -p</pre>
Enter the password, then run the script included in the GEi package using the command: <pre>$ mysql < \ . {scriptname} </pre>

 At this moment, the tool does not accept HTML (only some support for <a> tags is provided).  If you want to use inline code, you should use  the `code`  or  ```code``` syntax from Markdown.


The previous example should be instead:

#### Option 1: Command-line Client
Alternatively, to do this step directly from the command-line, connect to MySQL using: ```$ mysql -u {username} -p```

Hi Jose,
I have been unsuccessful in using windows, and have used an Ubuntu instance instead. I have managed to generate the file (attached) using the tool, but there missing content in there. It is mainly code snippets that are missing.

There is a difference between it and the rendered content in readthedocs: http://fiware-iot-discovery-ngsi9.readthedocs.org/en/latest/index.html

If you have experienced this before, please could you advise on what to do.

Hi Tarek,

It refers to a virtual path you define mapped to a local folder, so that you can later refer to a local folder from the docker container

In the example below you map /Users/myusername/myEnabler to the virtual path named /md2pdf, that's why when you specify the input document you name it as -i  /md2pdf/whateverisunderyourlocalfolder ...


docker run -v=/Users/myusername/myEnabler:/md2pdf fiwareulpgc/markdown-to-pdf -i /md2pdf/mkdocs.yml -o /md2pdf/documentation.pdf

Note: If you are using Docker Machine on Mac or Windows, your Docker daemon only has limited access to your OS X/Windows filesystem. Docker Machine tries to auto-share your /Users (OS X) or C:\Users (Windows) directory - and so you can mount files or directories using docker run -v /Users/<path>:/<container path> ... (OS X) or docker run -v /c/Users/<path>:/<container path ... (Windows). All other paths come from your virtual machine's filesystem.

I am running Docker on windows and I am a bit confused. I do not know what is the docker_container_path.

"is the folder where the <host_machine_path> is mounted in the Docker container."

When I installed Docker I haven't mounted anything myself. I am trying to target my file in windows using: docker run -v /c/Users/<path>:/<container path>

But what is the container path??

I am trying it but I get the error below:
