Hi Henar, Nacho.
I've succeed to connect to swift proxy server and only one of the storage
nodes - filab-swift-s1.
But I wasn't able to login to the rest of the storage nodes :
filab-swift-s2
filab-swift-s3
filab-swift-s4

The error that I get using ssh - "Connection refused".
I don't have an access to the console of these machines. Can you please
provide me with the access details or check the status of the nodes.

Thank you.

Hi. I won?t have full internet access until this evening to try the
API?but using Chrome I see the same problem.

Alexandra, can you see anything wrong on the machines?

Also, to help with support for the rest of the project, if people would
like me or other folks in Intel to try investigate issues can we receive
access to the boxes?

Thank you,
- John

Now it works. Thanks for your help.

I have one more problem with the data container I created earlier. I
uploaded an object and it said that everything was successful. But I cant
see the object in Cloud Portal.

What is the URL endpoint to my container? I can access the container with
the S3 API, since that is compatible to Openstack, right? Can I make the
data public and just access it from the browser?

Another question about Nova. There is an image on AWS marketplace that I
want to use on Nova. Can I create a snapshot of that image on AWS and the
upload it to Nova and run it there?

Is the image of 'shelfz_server' now public on the Cloud Portal for
everyone to see?

Thanks again for your patience with me ;-)

Yes. And I don?t know what have happened. I should be something from the
portal (I will report it too). I have deleted your VM and deployed a new
one, and it is working. Can you try it again?
Sorry for all these problems?

Henar

Launching the image worked fine. But now I see four instances (I only
created one) and now all them have the state 'ERROR'.
Can you see that?

Hi

I did it from command line. You are right. It seems to be a portal
problem. I will report it to the right people. Anyway, you can go to the
images tab, and launch the image called shelfz_server_2.
Tell me if you can do it or not.
Thanks,
Henar

Hi Henar,

I tried again creating a data container and it worked with Chrome (but it
was still not working in Firefox).

I saw an instance called 'test'. I guess that was you.

It is still not working, neither with Firefox nor with Chrome.
Here is what I do:
I tick the snapshot 'shelfz_server_2'
Then I go to the top right corner and click on 'Actions / Launch
Instance'.
Then nothing happens. not even an error message in the log at the bottom

Best regards
Florian

Hi Florian

It would be great if you could elaborate a bit more about the snapshot
problem. I can see you have an snapshot called shelfz_server_2. In
addition, I have tried to create a VM from your snapshot and it seems it
is working. Do you mind it trying it again to check if now everything is
ok?
Thanks for your feedback.
Regards,
Henar

Hi Henar,

Thanks for the quick reply. I was using the latest Firefox. I will try
again today.

Did the maintenance also include running instance snapshots? I spend some
time yesterday setting up an Ubuntu server from an image in the cloud
portal. When i was happy with the setup, i made a snapshot and terminated
the instance. Now i can't run the snapshot.

Best regards
Florian

Hi Florian

Thanks for contacting. Please, do you mind trying it again? We have had
some maintenance tasks, and perhaps the system was not in the right
status. Please also let us know which browser you are using. That would
be also helpful.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Henar
